maybe is a hemorroid try to take more water and eat prunes it helps you with BM just check next time you have BM if still blood call your OB
I am almost 2 months pregnant and I went to the bathroom today, I did have to strain a little to have a bowel movement but I noticed that I had bright red blood in my stool. Should I be concerned about this? I think it might be a hemmoroid but not sure. I have never had this happen to me. I spoke with my family doctor and she said to increase my water intake and fiber, but should I contact my OB just to be checked out to see if everything is ok?

Yes, run EVERYTHING by your OB. He/She needs to be on top of everything. It is probably nothing, but your worries will be decreased 110%!!
That happened to me after I had my baby. Going was very painful and seemed to re-injure me, even with a stool softener. Doc said if its a hemmoroid, they couldn't help, I'd have to go to a hem specialist. I take Shaklee products and know lots of people who have healed things the natural way. My friend said take one zinc a day. I did that and the problem has healed itself. No pain, no blood. I'd say it was totally gone within 2 weeks.
Bright red blood in the stool is not something to be alarmed about, if you see a darker color like blood, then it is more internal. Appears to be hemmoroids, very common is some people during pregnancy. To feel better just keep an eye on it if quantity worsens then I would let your OB GYN ck you on your next visit. Congrats on the new one!
I would call your OB if they say not to worry then don't. I would think that it would make a difference in weather or not to worry if it was just on the toilet paper or in the actual stool itself. If it's just on the toilet paper then it very well could be hemorrhoids.
Good luck and God bless
I would not worry. This is very common. The blood is more than likely from either an external or internal hemorroid. You need to worry if you have "black" looking stool or tarry colored stool. That would most likely mean internal bleeding of some sort. Good luck on your pregnancy!
