My daughter will be 5 7/11/13. She has been looking forward to having a party-hasn't had one since her 1st. She wants to have a wipeout party. That's our favorite family show. For those of you that haven't seen it-basically I need to come up with obstacle courses. Any ideas for how to do this on a smaller scale? We will probably make this either a backyard party or park party (the park is behind our backyard)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Ihad been googleing obsticle course birthday. Not sure why it didnt occur to me that other parents have done this.
My daughter is terrified of the big blow up bouncies. She will not enter them unless it is only her brother and sisters in there-so I won't waste my money there. It has occurred to me that other kids may want to join if we have it at the park. This park is exclusive to our subdivision, so most the kids will be invited anyway.
For prizes I was thinking of giving each child goggles and maybe a small squirt toy.

All I have to say is: if you have it at a public park... anticipate that other kids from the area, will probably just enter your party, too.
Invited or not.

Do you have the budget for it?
Rental places would be the place to go.
Keep in mind the ages of the kids.
And if this is a drop-off party or the parents are invited to stay too.
All of this affects the budget.

Oh, and what about "prizes?"

I would do a small scale & nothing where they can get hurt.
How about?:
-cones to run around
-a big blow up pool filled w/ those balls they have at the McDonald-type
indoor playgrounds
-have them get on a thick board that is suspended on a cylinder block at
each end where they try to knock each other off w/a puffy bat that can't
hurt them

Doc:

Happy Birthday to your daughter!!!

How would I prepare for a wipe-out party??!! ooh man!! Did you see the new course they have this season? Big Balls and the new thumper!

You would need a HUGE yard and lots of liability insurance!! LOL!!
So keep it out of the water...set up like this:

If you have the yard space and the money? A moon bounce slide to get them started on the course....slide down to a balance beam - for the first part of the track...

Big Balls - either use the exercise trampolines (you know the singular size one?) and space them about 5 feet apart to have the kids jump to...or use yard paint and draw squares in the grass for them to jump to.

For the finish? a kiddie pool to dash across!

Have fun!!!
