Can anyone recommend a great place for a birthday party for my 3 year old child? It's going to be in November, so it may need to be an indoor location. Also, can you suggest a great activity if we have the party at home...like face painting, etc.. If so, do you have someone who you enjoyed using?
Not sure of the cost, but we just went to Habitot in Berkeley and had a wonderful time. They have a party room. It's perfect for 2-3 years old!!! Have fun.
Have you looked into Happy Frog in Vallejo?
I think that is where I'm having my 1 year old's party, since most of the kids coming will be older.

Have you thought about the gyms in your neighborhood? Some of them have birthday party packages. Encore gymnastics has party facilities, they are located in Pleasant Hill on Bancroft Road.

If you are looking for an fun, "educational" party, the Lindsey Wildlife Museum is perfect for that age. We had my son's party there when he turned three, he's now nine, and still talks about the bunny they got to pet and the crafts they did.
If you are looking for a more physically active party, you might contact Pump It Up in Concord or the Jungle, also in Concord. I recommend though, that if you choose the Jungle, have the party during the week, not a weekend. It can/will be overrun with "big kids" on weekends and can be intimidating for the younger crowd.
If you are into crafts - check out JoAnns Fabric and Craft store. They have a party room and can accommodate any age activity.
