We did a The Little Gym party with my son and he loved it! It is a little different from other places because you and your party guests are the only ones there, no other parties. It was a year and a half ago (we did it for his 3rd) and he still asks about doing another party there, honestly, I wish we would have waited until he was 4 or 5 to do his party there, I think he would have enjoyed it more. Good luck and have fun!

How about a Bowling party? Many alleys have the paryt packages, with the bumpers and the roll the ball helpers (little rack to put the ball into and lines it up for them, so they are not throwing the ball)...

Have fun!

repeating my response to another b-day party thread:
what sorts of interests do your child(ren) and friends have? nowadays lots of different places ranging from pottery studios to gymnastics and martial arts studios have some sort of birthday party package deals. and IMO don't underestimate the appeal of an "ordinary" party at a community park with lawn games, bubbles, and picnicky food (one of my daughters' classmates had a party at our local park that was a "bring your own nerf gun" affair and the highlight of the party was a huge nerf gun battle - a grand time was had by all!).
If you know of some responsible high schoolers through a church or community group, they're an awesome and affordable source of help/entertainment for early elementary age kids - hiring a couple teens from our church high school group was one of the smartest things I ever did for my twin girls' parties b/c the teens are very energetic and way cooler than my DH and I so when they announce that it's time for a game, the party guests are totally attentive and ready to go!
