Just hoping some of you will have some ideas of how I can spend my birthday...
background: my birthday is this Friday. Everyone has to work that day and my daughter has had a fever (hoping it goes away to actually go do something). That night I am doing a 31 party for some work friends and will celebrate with my family this weekend. That doesn't mean I don't want to make my day special. It is just me and my DD who is 2. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...

What can I do next?

When my dd and I want to do something special, we go to IHOP and she gets funny face pancakes and I get crepes. Fun and silly.

Bake a cake together. Even if it's straight out of a box and the frosting straight from a can. Have your daughter help top with sprinkles...blow your candles and make a wish.

Happy Birthday!!!

how about a pizza and girlie movie? Even if she is still sick she would enjoy laying on the couch and doing that. Happy Birthday!!!!!

I would always have a weekend of fun for my birthday. In one weekend me, my mom, sister, and six kids would pile into my car and go to the zoo, park, amusement park, swimming pool and beach. Yes we would be exhausted but we also had some of the best times.

What are somethings you really like to do and how can you share that with your little one?

A campout in the family room. Pop a tent or make one, make smores in the microwave (just soften up that chocolate), popcorn, read books by flashlight, etc.

Happy early birthday!

How about?:
-getting your favorite take-out for you & dtr to have at home (sometimes
that's easier w/a little one) :)
-rent a movie (comedy or romantic). You can even rent a movie for her
if you have a travel dvd player so she can watch hers while you watch
yours
-buy yourself some flowers at the groc store
-go buy a pretty nail color @ the drug store & paint your nails/toes
-go shopping & buy yourself each an inexpensive trinket
-decorate your home to make if festive
-go to an outdoor market (if nice weather & you hv one nearby)
-pick up a magazine for yourself
-have a picnic at a park w/fun, different foods

Have a great time!
