Birth Control? or Period?

First of all let me recommend a book called, "Theology of the Body for Teens". You care about your gf or you wouldn't be writing. The birth control medicine has many severe side effects. It isn't normal to go w/o a period x 6 months! Yikes! Please let her know that you really do care & consider chastity as a great option.

Most likely your girlfriend is pregnant. Coming off of the shot wouldn't do that to her body. Go to a drug store and get an at-home pregnancy test first. I know you guys must be terrified of having children at your age. I was 16 when I had my oldest son, I know exactly what you're going through. Get the at-home test first so you can be sure before you go to your parents. If it does come back negative then your girlfriend needs to make an appointment with a doctor right away, none of those symptoms are normal.

I suggest that she makes a dr appt right away for a pregnancy test and if she is not pregnant then the dr's can continue on to try and help find what is causing these problems!
