I was searching the web for ways to handle my son's ADHD. I came across a product called Biometics. It's a liquid vitamin that supposedly helps kids with ADHD . Has anyone heard anything about this product?

What can I do next?

I would suggest google it and research it. Ask your doctor. Been there, done it. For twenty years, he would be up at five, bed around midnight. Keep him busy. Find a box, pick up some appliances at rummage sales.
Sat him at the table with a couple of screwdrivers and let him take it apart, and put it back together. I also had daycare. I had five older boys. I bought several appliances and gadgets. I sat them all at the table and said build me a robot. It kept them busy for a bout a week until they ran out of parts. They all got an award for their effort.

Find out what he likes. If it's space, look up everything you could do, get a telescope, find the stars together, go to the omnisphere. This will also improve your relation with him. If he misbehaves, put off doing something he really likes until he improves.

He is probably very bright and gets bored easily. Look for things the will encourage him to focus for longer periods of time. Does he have asthma? Medication could be adding to his AD. I have lots of ideas if your interested.

Good luck and God bless.

ADHD is not something that a vitamin can treat. You do not outgrow ADHD. It becomes treatable with medications, counsicling, and whatever else your doctor may prescribe. If his academic is not better, contact the school and set up a meeting. There are all forms of help through your local school to help with his academic learning. My granddaughter was diagnosed with ADHD and Bipolar at the age of 4. She has never been a behavior problem at school, but has always struggled with the learning process. She is going to the 8th grade and still doing 4th grade levels of work. She still continues to progress each year, but with a lot of struggles. Other areas of her life are right on tract. Espically the 13 year old attitudes. Have him tested through the school to see where he is academically, and take it from there.

By all means get a medical diagnosis and let the doctor prescribe the line of treatment. Some people are able to deal with ADHD, later in life, without meds. If he is a young boy, he would not be able to do this without some help. It takes a lot of love and a lot of patience with kids with ADHD. The good news is that most of them have very fullfilling and successful lives, if they have the proper medical treatment when they are young.

Good Luck Let us know what happens.

I don't know anything about Biometics, but I have a business with a company that manufactures nutritional products, which are powder and can be mixed in anything, that have helped children with ADHD. If you want to know more, call or email me.

Back when my son was in grade school my mother in law got this for me to give to him. Unfortunately it did not work. I don't think it would hurt to try it. I have also since heard that some moms had their kids drink a mountain dew along with this supplement and had better results?????

I have not heard of this product but yes, research shows that a multivitamin free from all the dyes/sugars etc is a good start for children who have been diagnosed with ADHD/ADD/RAD. Also it helps to make certain that they are getting "snacks" between meals to keep their blood sugar levels on an even keel. We have adopted two children who have been diagnosed ADHD and RAD so we have been researching! Studies show that children who start out with multivitamins and fish oil (Omega 3) daily showed marked improvement in behavior and less meltdowns. Good luck!

Hi J.: My name is A.. I have never heard of the product you are inquiring about, but I am in the health and wellness business and we have a product called Biomega which is an aloe vera based liquid vitamin that is used in aiding children with ADHD.

Diet is a major factor in kids with ADHD. I also recommend our Body Fx (which is a shake) - basically the perfect meal. You can add fruits to it and put the Biomega in it. It is delicious. Also, I recommend Vital Green Plus which is fruits and veggies in a capsule form. You can also open the capsule and pour that in the shake or just swallow it.

It takes the body from acidic to alkaline and cancers and diseases cannot grow in an alkaline body.

You can visit my website at www.firstfitness.com/aleader and/or call me at ###-###-#### for further information.

I hope this helps.

Hi!
Here is some information I read from Dr. Kenneth Finsand book called Mangosteen desk reference. ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) This disease plagues parents and children alike. Often children with ADHD are placed on a drug called Ritalin. This drug in his opinion, does more harm than good. Remember, these medications hide the symptoms but fix nothing. Large numbers of emotional disorders have been linked to adrenal hormone imbalances. Adrenal hormones are essential to life. When we experience physical or psychological stress, the adrenal glands release natural chemicals such as adrenaline, DHEA, and cortisol directly into the blood stream that calm the stress. In the case of ADHD and ADD , mangosteen xanthones help to balance the liver and the production of these hormones, which in turn alleviates stress.

I havent heard of it but I will try to look it up.I have heard that fish oil caps will help concentration and memory but my son wont take it(he says it smells)but I take it.I think you should definately try counseling or natural supplements before trying meds.In my opinion that should be the last resort unless there are safety issues involved.Good Luck and let me know if you end up trying it and if it works!! thanks!!

I don't know about the Biometics, but there are several natural methods that I use for children with ADD/ADHD in my chiropractic office. One of which is chiropractic care.

Another method that has been very effective is whole-fruit mangosteen juice, from the Xango company. Many of the kids in my practice have had great results from drinking this amazing juice. It is all natural, and there are no side-effects. You can find out more info at: www.drtina.gomangosteen.com.

I want to start off by saying I truely believe that kids are over diagnosed these days. However, my sister has ADD/ADHD so I understand the challenges the child as well as the parents go through. My sister has grown out of hers somewhat, it doesnt affect her the way it used to, so it is possible to get better as they get older (she was about 17 when it started tapering off some). Before trying him on prescription meds (which in some cases are neccesary for a normal life)exhaust all natural remedies and try diet changes. A friend of mine is also ADD/ADHD and MSG triggers it for him and makes his symtoms noticeably worse. Try vitamins and cut out MSG and reduce sugars as best you can. I loved the suggestion of one person about buying gadgets he can take apart and put back together. I really think you will be able to notice a difference. If all else fails try him on the meds temporarily to see if they do help and if thats the case don't feel bad about it and dont let anyone else make you feel bad about it either. You and you husband know that child better than anyone else and will make the desicion that is best for him. Good luck!!!!

My daughhter checked out a book at the liberary "Right-Brained Childrein in a Left-Brained World" by Jeffrey Freed, MAT and Laurie Parsons. It explains things you can do to help your ADHD child learn things easier. It has helped my granddaughter with her spelling and reading. I bought the book at our local bookstore for her.

J. R,
I have not heard of the product you mentioned, but I thought I would pass on some things that my son takes daily for his ADHD symptoms. He has not officially been diagnoised because he is not school age. He will start Kindergarten in the Fall, wanting him to have the best school experience possible, we started him on these products which have had good results. FOCUS by Solaray, ADDED ATTENTION by Burried Treasure, FISH OIL, IONIC-FIZZ(Magnesium) by Pure Essence Labs, and SWEET WHEAT. Focus is a tablet that can be taken 1-2 times daily, and the other products are mixed into his apple juice in the mornings. All of these poducts can be purchased at Ozark Natural Foods in Evelyn Hills Shopping center. We also participate in ADD Therapy. You can call ###-###-#### to receive more info. about that program. These products, the therapy, restricting sugar & dye consumption, getting enough exercise, healthy diet & sleep regimine have all gone a long way to improving my son's quality of life, as well as for the entire family. My son also experiences behavioral problems, so we have decided to unify our efforts of being very consistent with his disicipline, both in my home and in his father's. Also, you can check out The ADHD Handbook at the Fayetteville Public Library to find out more info. regarding this condition. Good luck!

I haven't heard of this product but, you are on the right tract. It is not the drugs that they use for ADHD that helps. These guys are missing something in there brain and God did not want us to put things in our body that could later cause problems that are worse than ADHD. They need the vitamins that they are missing. J., pray God will show you what to use. The vitamins will not hurt. Shalom{Pease} L.
