Okay ladies dig deep in your minds. I recently started working out and need some GREAT music for my iPod. I'm a 80's hairband kind of girl so I have all the Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Winger that I can. What I need are some suggestions to keep me going. I need that energy for the end of my workouts. Any suggestions new music or old)would be much appreciated!

And an FYI Womacks in Keller on 377 is great!

What can I do next?

I chuckled at your request. Great workout music is a MUST for me, too! I listen to a lot of techno and dance music when I do cardio. I have just sampled and downloaded music without even knowing really what the songs were and have enjoyed most of it. When I lift weights, I listen to those you listed and some harder stuff like Metallica, Godsmack, Disturbed. Nickleback is good, too. Have you checked out the '80's CD sets they sell on TV? I wish I had those. Best of luck, S..

It's not necessarily 80s music, but Jazzercise has great music and they put playlists on iTunes. (They are a little hard to find, but if you go to the Jazzercise website, I think they have either a link or directions for how to find the music.) They are always updating their playlists with the latest new hits (some of them I heard long before they started playing them on the radio).

Stick with music that you know... it is important to be able to talk while exercising... so you know you are not overdoing it when you are singing along with the songs and not out of breath.

For me it would be contemporary Christian because those are the songs I know the words to...

You can also use instrumental music with an appropriate beat to keep you on track and then you are not distracted with the words.
