Depending on the color, if it is very light and will not fade, I would try some BIZ. Otherwise, I would put some Oxyclean in the wash water. Both work wonders on my granddaughters clothes. Good luck.
My daughter had an accident today and totally soaked her snow pants. I know in the past when I just wash something the smell of urine isn't totally gone. How do you get rid of the smell? I have the clothing and snow pants soaking in baking soda right now before I wash them. I'm hoping that will help. Any suggestions?
I added white vinegar to my wash. The smell is totally gone! Thanks for the advice.

I use white distilled vinegar in every single rinse load when I wash (about 1/4 of a cup). Not only will it eliminate the urine smell, it will get rid of the excess laundry soap that is left behind after a washing, which will help your clothing last longer. I add it at the start of the rinse cycle and then do an extra rinse cycle afterwards. You can also use vinegar to clean urine smelling carpets, mattresses, etc, by adding vinegar to a steam cleaner and then going back over the area with just plain water.
White Vinegar!!!!! Use 1 cup in the wash, when the vinegar smell
is gone so is the urine!!!
I use baking soda or ammonia for bad smells in the laundry--ammonia for urine seems counter-productive (since urine turns to ammonia after time), but it works. I've also had amazing luck with Totally Toddler spray. It's available at Babies R Us & Toys R Us stores--maybe elsewhere, too, but I know for certain it's there. It's great for all kinds of weird stains & smells in kids clothing!
Good luck!
One word...VINEGAR! One half cup to a cup per load and the smell will be gone and your clothes will smell fresh and wonderful!
Dreft makes a stain spray that also eliminates odors. It worked so well on my daughter's pants, that I also used it on the carpet when our dog had an accident. I buy it at Target.
yes. i work with a lot of fragrances and it's great. and i had a few mishaps and my sister told me to use ammonia and it worked. about a half cup will do for a load.

Liquid Clorix bleach is the only thing I've found that removes cat urine from clothing. Cat urine is much stronger & harder to remove than human urine.
