I need to buy a stepstool for my son to get up to the toilet. Any advice on the best out there?

What can I do next?

I got a small rubbermaid stepstool for my kids in the bathroom. I like it because if it gets dirty or they have an accident while using it to reach the potty, I have washed it right on the bottom rack of my dishwasher. Which is nice to do even when they start to get a little grubby.

As long at it's sturdy just buy whatever is cheapest.

I bought one at Meijers for $4 on clearance...it was in the home department. I just wipe it clean with Clorox wipes. You will see some fancy ones out there, but I think it's a personal preference. My kid didn't use it that long, so I'm glad I didn't spend a fortune!

If your hubby is handy (or anyone in the family, for that matter...) you can save by making your own. My Father-in-law made a stool for my son that was perfect for the potty/ and washing hands at the sink!

Just figure a width, and put it at about three-four inches off the ground. It works great for teaching a boy to stand to pee. I had to help him on the pot, but he needed help with his pants anyway!

When you make it yourself, you can add 'no slip' strips to make it safe. And it can be used again or just recycle.

I had purchsed just a cheap step stool from Walmart. Seems to still hold up well and serve it's purpose. When I was trying to find it online though I came across this one that looks pretty cool!
