I have a wonderful 5 yr old son and expecting my second one due in April/09. My son currently attends North Hills Medical Center but I am not very pleased w/ them. Can you recommend some good Pediatricians? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I go to Dr. Roehrs in Pelzer and though he is not just peiactric my young children love him and even my 18 year old and I go to him. It is really nice to have just one doctor and he has young children too. Very nice man and doesn't over prescibe medication.

I, too, use the Christie Group. We had 2-3 friends recommend them when we moved here. Dr. Springle is great but I also liked Dr. Wylie. He listened to all my concerns and I felt like he took the time to hear them and not brush me off. I don't think I have ever had to wait long for an appointment either. When my kids are sick I have always gotten them in on the same day I called. My kids are 3 and 6 and do not dread going to the doctor.

I have 2 kids (2 1/2 and 7 months) and we love Dr. Song at Carolina Pediatrics. I have seen most of the doctors in the practice and have never had a problem. We always get in when needed for sick visits.

Hi K.,
I'm not sure exactly where you live, but my children see Dr. Earl at The Children's Clinic. They have offices in Simpsonville and Greenville. We moved here from CA last year and it took me awhile to find a pediatrician that I was happy with, especially since I have a child with special needs. There are several doctors in the practice, but I love Dr. Earl. He is very caring and compassionate and takes time to answer all of my questions. He also has been great regarding referrals to specialists. My kiddos like him a lot too. And congratulations on your new little one!

I have always used the Christie Group. The efficiency with which they handle appointments is a HUGE plus for them. I live in Easley and I can almost literally call from my driveway with a sick kid and I have NEVER had to wait to see a doctor more than 10 minutes.

They also have a "new" doctor--Dr. Springle--who is FANTASTIC!!! I have three boys--one who is 13 and he really relates well to Dr. Springle. My daughter also just loves him. He is very concerned with keeping up with the kids in his care. My daughter is an eleven year old gymnast and has all of the related injuries. Dr. Springle makes sure to have me have the orthopedist share information about her care with him.

Good luck, I know this is a big decision!
