My oldest is graduating in June. We would like to host a reception at our home. Can anyone recommend a good party rental place near Allen, TX? I am looking for tables and chairs, table cloths, maybe chafing dishes, not sure what else.

Also, what would you serve? We are thinking there will be about 60 people. Do I go with a theme or just make my favorite foods even though they span the global palate? greek, thai, mexican and 'merican. ;-)

What can I do next?

I've always used Ducky Bob's for all our parties. I would serve whatever you desired. Everyone will love it - it's a party! Should you decide to have it catered, I had the best luck with Pappasito's. I've used several other caterers, and Pappasito's is the best!

I have an invitation company so I am all about the themes :) I think that you can do a global palate and make a theme says something like "Julie is ready to face the world".. kind of a she's graduated and here she comes world kind of thing. I hope that make sense.. LOL Then you could have all kind of different foods that are his/her favorites.

If you need invitations or party themed help (cupcake toppers, cake toppers, favors, etc.) let me know I would be happy to help. www.WorksofaWink.com (my site has not been updated in forever, but I can do a little bit of everything if you just email me).

Good luck and congrads to your oldest.

Congratulations!!

We've had several parties at our home and rented tables, charis, table cloths, etc.. I used Ducky Bob's in Dallas. They were always reasonable.

As for the food.... are you looking to do all the cooking? I LOVE to cook and prepare for parties but I also like to enjoy my guests and not be in the kitchen the entire time!

How about having it catered? Depending on your theme (if you choose to go with one) you could go with food that accomadates the theme. I would probably choose 1 type of food and stick with that... as in Italian, Mexican, etc.

Maggiano's has great Italian catering, PF Chang's, On the Border. MANY of the restaurants around here, even in Allen have good catering menus.

Have fun!
