Best Hot Rollers

I am moving to the USA from England and not familiar with the hair products there. I want to buy a set of electric hot rollers. I have really thick hair so need a lot of rollers - 18 or 20. But my hair doesn't hold curl well, even with mousse that's meant to help with that. So I want to know what the best and most effective hot rollers are. If you have a set you love, please let me know what it's called. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I just googled hot rollers ratings and got folica.com which looks like a hair roller wonderland with lots of information!

Also, drugstore.com is really handy for beauty products with reviews-not many rollers, but almost any other beauty/hair product if you're in a bind and want to read about something before ordering or going out to buy.
Good luck moving!

Most are about the same. I haven't used them in a while, but they used to have dry and steam. Perhaps a little bit of hairspray after your set will help hold the curl.

The set I have are made by Conair, but they're basically all the same. Is there a Sally Beauty Supply near you? Their products are made for the professional level. Perhaps you could get a decent set from them. You may also want to consider using gel on your hair as well as mousse.

Your question made me smile because I bought a set of hot rollers that were supposedly 220 when I moved to Scotland and they blew up the first time I plugged them in! So I understand the challenges of finding different hair appliances. I have a set of Conair, but I personally think all hot rollers are about the same. Maybe your hair stylist will have an opinion?

Welcome to the US!

they're not hot rollers, but curlformers are pretty cool.
