My 7 year old has 2 Fisher Price doll houses. She loves to play with them . She has had one for 3 years. The sets seemed expensive at first but have held up to all her and her friends play. I recommend wanting a good one. these to anyone
My 5 yo has recently shown an interest in playing with dollhouses, and I am wondering if there is one that would be a good one for this age. Not too big, but big enough to last a few years for her. I know there are some intended for younger girls, and we've had a couple that are too young for her. Is there one that is more like a collectible item? I know there are kits to build them, but I prefer to find one ready to play with. Thanks in advance!

My 5 yr old got the fisher price one when she was 3 and we just gave it to her sister who is 3. She out grew it and wanted a big one. We got the Glitter Suite one from toys r us. (toysrus.com) She has played with it everyday since Christmas! It is great! Bright colors, stairs and an elevator. She actually made it Hannah Montana and HSM home. It also comes with furniture and you can buy more. They have a couple to choose.
Another idea would be to google Kidcraft dollhouses. I think their dollhouses are really well made and they have a variety of styles and sizes. For Christmas I bought my daughers a really big one call the Grand Villa. It is bigger than what you indicated you're looking for. But like I said they make all sizes and alot of them are sold over the internet.
Good luck.
Fisher Price Twin doll house is wonderful. We also have The glitter doll house by Imaginarium (Toys R us Brand) It is awesome.
Check out fisherprice.com! My daugher has the twin time one and she is 6 and she still loves it. I think the pieces are well made and I made sure when I bought the house I bought her a plastic bin to keep up with all of her pieces. My daughters folds up to look very smaller and you let it out when you get ready to play with it. All the kids love to play with it when they come over. They have some smaller versions as well. Very easy to clean and sanitize if need be. I had to clean my daughters because she had the flu.
Good luck!
