I am getting dizzy reading all the reviews on all the different cameras out there! I just want to buy a point and click digital camera with continous shooting (not burst mode) I want to be able to click, click , click and shoot! I have a 2 year old little girl and by the time I get my camera out and it powers on the moment is gone! Same when I have my camera out taking pictures I hate waiting for the photo to process before I can take another one by that time she is gone and so is the moment! Any suggestions? I am trying to stay under 200.00. Thanks!

I have a smidge fancier camera not a point and shoot but DSL and it still doesn't do that.

But i sure wish it did, Isn't it funny to think back though on how cameras were even 25 yrs ago with FILM, lol and you had no idea if you had the shot or not until months later.

You can get one from any major brand for that price to do what you want. The trick is to turn off the auto focus mode. So you would have to set the shutter speed, aperture size, etc. yourself. Also, get a high speed memory card for the camera, it makes a big difference.
I personally prefer canon or panasonic for their lenses. i have a panasonic lumix DMC-ZS#, i can't remember the number. i got it a few years ago for around that price. it's small enough to fit in my purse, i can set it to autfocus or i can set the settings myself and save these modes for different situations. and of course the video mode is also great.
what slows down the camera is the software that makes sure you get a good picture with every click. it tries to figure out the settings for you depending on your environment.

For a point n shoot type any new Nikon Coolpix. Of course, the best would be a $3,000 SLR. My Nikon point and shoot was about $300 but I absolutely love it.

My camera is quick but not shoot shoot shoot. That really does not exist at your price point. They are quicker than they used to be but not as fast as you want them.

I have had several Canon Elph's and love them, good photos. About $200.00.
