Hi L., I had a baby a year ago. I now force myself to do at least 50 sit ups a day and I started seeing a difference after a few weeks and lost 5 pounds.
Good luck, L.
Since my histerectomy 3 years ago I have gained 10lbs that will not go away! I'm not over weight, but right on the verge if you look at a weight chart. The rest of my body looks good. But my belly and thighs are big, I can live with the thighs but I hate the big belly! I feel like I'm three months prgnant! I've tried mesotherapy and had zero luck, I broke out in a rash and was swollen for weeks. Has any one done that new liposuction, that is done in office and you are still awake during the procedure? Money is tight and I already wasted some on the mesotherapy. I teach water aerobics twice a week, my class is high intensity with our heart rate up for at least 30 min. I also ride my bike once a week. Any advice would be helpfull. Thanks

I have had that problem for many years, and I tried everything, until I found a Tea called Holy tea, (nothingto do with religion).
and it is the one helping me right now.
look into it. I don't know if they sell it at the stores, i buy it online.
thanks and good luck,
O.
I have no great advice...but would love to find out what you find out since I have similar issues. I look great everywhere except for my belly and thighs....
Hello L. A,
There are tremendous health benefits to Apple Cider Vinegar. Take 2 TBS in a beverage (I just do water) daily. It is important to get it from the health food store (Braggs is my brand). It is also important to brush your teeth afterwards because the acidity can damage teeth enamel. Don't take it in pill form, it's just not as effective.
One of the benefits is reduction in belly fat. Google - Apple Cider Vinegar benefits. I'd definitely recommend this before going under the knife!
L.,
Please do not do liposuction. All surgeries have risks. Instead, try targeted abdominal exercises. Get a workout DVD at home that targets the abs such as Tight on Time. It only takes 10 minutes. I have 3 children and have belly fat that I am working on. You will see results. Also, are you modifying your diet? Try cutting back on processed foods (anything from a can or bottle), especially white flour and sugar and you should see a difference very soon. These are less painful and much less risky options than liposuction.
Well L.... How serious are you about doing it the hard way? I would recommend a long term approach. You didn't say how you eat? I would recommend tracking every calorie that you eat (I mean all of them) for about 2 weeks. Don't change your eating pattern, just count calories. Then start a lifestyle change. Reduce your calories by 15% and see how your body responds after 3 week. Then you can reduce calories again by 5 or 10% for a few more weeks. When the body starts to change keep your calories there until you platau or get the results you want. Don't change calories drastically or your body will fight you to keep the fat. I would recommend a low carb diet for at least a month (I am a man so I don't know what your calorie intake should be) but I would start eating lean meats (fish, poultry, lean steak and lean hamburger (94% fat free or higher) Low or no fat dairy. Bread should be whole grain whole wheat. Look at the first ingredient on the list and make sure it says whole wheat or whole grain (not enriched or anything else just whole wheat or whole grain.) Stop eating anything with white bread. No sugaray stuff either. Cokes, candy, cookies, ake, ice cream... forget it. Sugar spikes insulin and causes your body to store fat. Keep your protein to about 1 gram per 1 lb of body weight. I would say do some type of cardio for at least 30 minutes a day but about 5 days a week (preferably in the morning before eating anything. This will cause your body to start burning the fat since after a night of fasting it has nothing else to burn). I would recommend you read "the Abs diet book", "Body for Life" and "Everything you need to know about fat loss". By Chris Aceto. Chris Aceto has some other great books as well. good luck PS. You can go to my site for encouragement and read my story... http://www.sallen.org/fat_to_fit.htm
L.,
Sounds like you are having some hormone imbalances. This is really common in women going through menopause and in women with immediate sudden menopause which a hysterectomy causes. As a way to try to replace the estrogen, you body adds fat as it contains trace amounts of estrogen.
That said, you should speak with a women's health specialist about balancing your hormones. There are two great menopause MD's with the Austin Diagnostic clinic,Paula starche MD and I can't remember the other lady's name. You can also see Connie Ryan at Central Family practice near Seton downtown. Those are two ladies I strongly recommend. Good luck.
L.,
I completely understand your frustration about the weight gain after the hysterectomy. I had 3 1/2 years ago. Before the hysterectomy I stayed around 118-120 lbs and I am 5'6". I am now staying between 133-137 lbs. All of the weight is in my tummy and thighs. My thighs never rubbed until I put on this weight so I really know your frustration! Anyway, I was reading the many responses about changing your diet and exercise habits and I am really wondering how many of these women had a hysterectomy and the suggestions still worked. I don't have any answers for you but I am glad you asked the question so I can get the advise too. I will add you to my prayer list and maybe we can both find a solution to the problem!!
A little about me:
I'm a proud "step" mother to two girls 17 & 20 and 21 yr old boy. A grandmother of 1 and 2 more on the way. I have been married to a wonderful man for 14 years!
Hi L.,
There are several things you might want to try. One is getting the ph levels of your saliva back to akaline, between 6.3 and 6.6. You do this with calcium carbonate from the sea, coral calcium. You should also take supplements to balance the hormones, Black cohosh, wild yam, and dong quai.
www.creeksideherbhouse.com is my free teaching website. The rprotocol we teach is on the theory page. You might want to take the health test on this site http://dysbiosis101.googlepages.com/candidayeasttest you will get a score and at the bottom of the test it will tell you about your score. Or you can get ahold of me from my website adn we can discuss this further.
You can work with nutrition and not chemicals to correct this condition
Blessings

L.,
I have the same woes, i had a hysterectomy when i was 26, now 41. i have never lost the belly. doctors have told me repeatedly that it comes with the surgery and never leaves. i have a paunch no matter what excercise i tried. no dice. the muscles have been cut and do not repair once cut. i actually have been cut open twice so even more so for me. so to give you bad news, but for me its true. good luck!
Hi, I understand what you're going through. I had a hysterectomy in Aug. and have gained 12 lbs that refuse to move. I walk 3 1/2 to 4 miles at least 4 times a week, which worked perfectly before, but now is not. I've since joined Weight Watchers and rejoined Curves. If you find out something that works, please advise.
Hello L.;
I had a Hyst too a while ago, for whatever reasons you had yours try to get to a knowledgable dr that prescribes Natural Hormone replacement therapy, ther is one in MacAllen I can look up his data if you are interested. The thing is that you are imbalanced in your hormones and that makes our bodies all awry. Try some links in the internet on the subject I personally recommnend the compounding pharmacies they can be a big source of help.
Bellevue Pharmacy Solutions, Pete Hueseman there can talk to you and will know more for sure. Their website is:

If anyone responds to you let me know because I can't get rid of mine either. My little girl is almost 3 yrs old. I have worked out like crazy and nothing is working for me. I run 2 to 3 miles 3 times a week - my body fat went down but I have not seen anything as far as a reduction there.
You should try mummy magic weight-loss tea to get your belly fat off.
Hi L.,
I can sympathize with your problem. inner/outter thighs were my greatest enemy.. I was self concious for years about my hips. I had a 10/12 waist and on the charts I was a 3X hips!
Since your question was about lipo, i am not going to tell you how you should be eating. rather share my expierience with cosmetic surgery.
I had lost weight and even at 5'8 135 pounds my hips were shaped like a hersey kiss. Diet and exercise alone simply didn't work to get rid of fat built up.
after years of talking about it, and trying to explain ning to my husband that the money spent on surgery is well worth it to boost my esteem. I set out to find a Dr.
I had seen ads for Dr Kimberly Finder. that may be the one you are considering as well since her ads are all over!
I had my last year, actually it is 1 yr ago this week. I am beyond thrilled with the results. It took about 6 inches off my "saddle bag area" and 2 in off inner thighs..
I feel wonderful. But, i will say that you have to have a vERY high pain tolerance to deal with the soreness afterwards. Over all the procedure wasn't that painful. The areas were numbed very well. But, you do feel the poking, prodding and are aware of all the instruments and sucking going on..(and it sounds/looks just like the Tv shows)
Because I was awake Dr Finder actually had me moving and re positioning myself..And several times I told her she hit a spot I could feel. She stopped and re shot me with Lidocain. same stuff the dentist uses..
Pain, bruising and cost aside. I would do it all again. and I highly recommend Dr Finder, if you are seriously considering a surgery alternative.
Hi L.,
It sounds like you are very active already! I don't know what your diet is like, but it may help to cut out all sugar from your diet and eat a low glycemic diet. You will feel better AND lose weight. You don't need to calorie restrict, just eat when you're hungry, but eat healthy snacks like carrots, nuts, whole (not processed)healthy vegetables. Stay away from white flour, white rice, white potatoes and the pounds should start melting away. I have lost 40 pounds since Sep and I wasn't overweight. This was a side effect of eating healthy, not b/c I was trying to lose weight. This is a lifestyle change for me and my family.
I always hold my stomach in to keep my stomach flat. Doing specific exercises to target the abdomen may also help. It sounds like the exercises you are doing are not specifically targeting that area.
I have 5 kids ages 9,7,6,3,and 1. Nobody can believe I have that many when they look at me and people always think I am much younger than I am. I think it is a tribute to being careful what goes in to my body.
Good luck!
Blessings,
M.

I too have that unwanted belly fat. I am currently doing Pilates. I bought these Windsor Pilate DVD's from the T.V.
They have about four different levels included. I am doing the 20 minute workout and can see a difference in upper and lower belly! I have a little boy that is very demanding so the 20 minute one is all I can do for now. I highly recommend this since it focuses on the belly as your power source and boy you can feel it. My brother is a personal trainer and says it is good to build that muscle under your fat. So as you build that muscle coupled with the activities you already do, I would say you would begin to notice a difference in two to three weeks if you could do it about four times a week. Hope that helps a bit!
My Father and Grandfather were physicians here in Austin. All my life I heard them say to their patients and my family to "avoid eating anything white." Rice, pasta, potatoes, etc. These turn into fat when digested.
I am living on this advice and my belly is flat. Try this and you will be amazed how your belly will get flatter. And keep up with the exercise.
Good luck.
Hello L., I agree with Melody S. I don't know what your eating habits are but changing them for the better will make a huge difference. I hit the 190lb mark and decided I had to do something. I looked like I was pregnant and the extra weight was causing health problems and making me feel terrible all the time. I cut out all sugar, breads, potatos, white rice, anything made with sugar, and all processed and refined food and have lost 45 pounds in 1 year - all without exercising. I always eat protein and a "good" fat with every meal, even if it's only a snack. Otherwise the carbs turn quickly into fat. I also only eat until I'm slightly full. Your stomach can only digest so much at one time. Anything more basically turns into fat not to mention causes internal discomfort. I eat lean meats, vegetables, fruit, nuts, legumes - all natural things. The book that brought this to light for me is The Schwarzbein Principle by Diana Schwarzbein, MD. Here are a couple of links that explains more: (http://weightloss.about.com/cs/diets/a/aa031103a.htm)
(http://www.schwarzbeinprinciple.com/pgs/program/transitn_.... Since I've changed my eating lifestyle and lost weight my blood pressure and cholesterol have gone down also. I just turned 50 and I look better than I did when I was 40. Good luck!
P.S. Drink lots of water!
Are you sure that you don't diastasis? It is the separation of the abs and is a very common problem when you have multiples. Here is a link:
http://baby.families.com/blog/5-things-to-know-about-mumm...
Basically, the abs are a corset that holds everything in but if they get separated, you get this pregnant pooch! I just had mine surgically fixed when I had my umbilical hernia repaired and it is like night and day. I finally got my tummy back! My twins are 20 months now. Good luck.
I feel your frustrations! I have a set of twins and triplets and for both I had C-sections. I have about 10 pounds that just won't come off from the pregnancies. My stomach muscles and skin have been so stretched out and now they just hang. The stomach aread doesn't match the rest of my body. People are always telling me "Wow, you look good for having twins and triplets!". Well, I guess they don't notice that I am still wearing long loose shirts to cover up the belly. I realize that I could be a lot worse and that many many people will think I am crazy for complaining about, but this isn't me. I too have had some ask if I was pregnant again. I have thought about tummy tuck, kind of scared about doing it though. Also, worried about what people (family) would think if I did it. Everytime I look in the mirror, take a shower, get dressed, I am very frustrated and sad about it. I dont' know what the answer is, but just wanted to let you know you are not alone in this battle.
You say nothing about your diet. Cut back on pleasure type foods: cokes, cakes, cookies, crackers, ice cream, beef products, breads, milk, pizza... You get the picture. Drink water and green tea. Snack on vegetables (broccolli/califlower/carrots...) fruit (grapes, raisins, grapefruit, apples...
Good luck.
Sit-ups, 25-35 every night. I've lost inches. Cheap too.
I would suggest a fat burner. I lost my baby weight with the Access bar, it's all-natural. If eaten 15 min before a work out it uses fat stores as energy for 2 hrs, you can find them at Melaleuca.com, Melaleuca is a natural wellness company with the best health products my family has ever used. I set up wholesale accounts if you are interested. I don't even fit in my pre-pregnancy clothes, they are too big!!contact me S. Greenerhome.org
At 58 yrs,I too, have the belly fat after surgery that I would like to get rid of. I go to the Y and work in the yard a lot and no luck on loosing it.
Let me know if you find a get solution.

Have you ever thought about weight training? If you incorporate that in with your cardio you should definitely start seeing some results. How often are you doing cardio? Are you wearing a heart rate monitor? The only way to get rid of that "belly fat" is thru diet and exercise. This is also the most inexpensive way especially if you are on a pretty tight budget. I have a personal trainer/nutritionist that I workout with. she has taught me so much. I can't begin to tell you. You might also check out this site...
It is a great tool to use. It helps you keep track of exactly what you are putting in your body. It really puts things in perspective and makes you think.... I hope this helps. Fell free to email or call me if you have any questions.
If you could omit from your diet, sugar, flour and grease or any thing made with any three, I promise you will loose the fat. Now I know with a family that you have to cook for.....that is not an easy task, but if you can do it, it will work.
have you tried Micro Current?
