C.K.
My son has regularly complained about "tummy aches" since he was small. ( around 3) I talked to my doctor about it and got the advise of: watch his diet, monitor his BMs, journal his compaints to see if there are common things happening. What i noticed is whenever my son had too much dairy his stomach would hurt. (yogurt, milk, cheese and icecream). So we cut back on the diary but as he's gotten older, I have notice him straining at bowel movements so we started adding a cap of Miralax to his water once a day. That has helped tremendously. I also just keep an eye on what is going on in his life. Sometime stress and worry can cause belly aches in little ones and they can't really communicate what is going on with their little bodies. My BEST advice is to watch his diet, see if there is anything there he might be sensitive to. And of course, know your child. Know when it's hungry because he is having a growth spert or didn't really eat the dinner he fed to the dog. :) All else fails, talk to your doctor. Hope his tummy trouble improves!
