Hi there~
We are escaping for our 10 year anniversary and are looking for some reccomendations on nice B&B's that are around 2-2.5 hours from Chicago.
We are interested in good food, playing golf (him), maybe some spatime (me) and just being together.
Thanks for any ideas!

Galena is great! We love to walk around the streets. There are many restaurants with a variety of foods and "feels" like casual or more dressy. Golf is nearby as are some spas. Have fun!
I do not have the name, but I am sure if you look it up there is one in Oregon, IL and a friend of mine loved it. Wish I knew where the card is, but it might pop up through google. We also saw one near Stoughton, wisconsin.
Galena has tons of B&B's. Very cute ones with tons to do nearby - golf, bike trails, wine tastings, horseback rising. Check out www.visitgalena.org
The Irish Cottage in Galena. I highly recommend it! Not only is it a cute and clean B&B, they have a great spa. Galena is a cute town with antique shops and a variety of stores and restaurants. It has been a couple of years since we have been there, but I had THE best hot stone therapy massage ever! It was even better than the one I had at the Mirage in Vegas. I can't tell you about golf. My husband's a golfer but we don't get away very often, on our own, so he doesn't golf on trips like that. I'm sure there is golfing. Also, there is a restaurant Fried Green Tomatoes, awesome Italian food and they give you huge portions, it's crazy. If you go, make sure you stop in to the Galena Canning Company. It had great jams, jelly, salsas and such.

We really liked White Lace Inn in Sturgeon Bay, WI but that's 4-5 hours away. If you are willing to expand your search, this is a nice place.
have you checked out lake geneva, wi!!!
South Haven, MI is a really nice coastal town with many B&B's and lakefront cottages to choose from.
my bad...the name of the place I recommended wasn't the one I meant to...I'll try to find the one that I meant and reply later.
