Bay View Wisconsin Moms?

Hi!
You might want to come to the Bay View Community Center's playgroup - lots of 20-30ish moms come with kids ages 6 mo.-3 years old. I sometimes go on Friday and Saturday mornings (my son will turn 2 in a couple of weeks). People there are super-friendly and it's easy to just start up conversations. I have actually met people there that I see outside of playgroup as well!

It was really good to read your post, I can completely relate to how you are feeling. My husband and I recently adopted our son domestically, he will be six months old on Feb. 14. I'm almost 31, and I work part time (32 hrs a week) as an EAP counselor. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work. My husband is in his last semester of Graduate School currently. We own a house in Bayview and really love the area. Most of my family also lives in Bayview. My sister has 2 daughters but they are older- 2 1/2 and 6 1/2. My son loves to see his cousins but I also think it would be nice for him to interact with babies his age.
Most of our friends don't have children yet so I can relate.
I have also been wanting to meet other mom's in the area who have babies around the same age.
It sounds like you have your hands full right now, working full time, baby at home, and getting ready to start grad school. What grad program are you going into? Is your 7 month old a boy or girl?

wow i know how you feel. none of my friends come over either. i actually have one friend that has a 1 year old but she dont like coming over to my apartment because she dont like the place. well i'm 24 years old and live about 5 minutes away from bay view. my name is S. and i have a 6 month old.

I have 16mo and 7 year old girls. As soon as it gets nice out we frequent South Shore park. During the nice weather you can find plenty of Moms out there like me to play with. And it feels good to get out of the house too. We would love to meet you down there and play.

i live in bayview with my husband and little 20 month old girl, izze. same thing with my friends, mostly they all live out of town and/or don't have kids so we're not at all in the same place. it sounds like we're into some of the same things...yoga, art (i love ceramics) and organic food. we would love to hang out sometime. i go to the bayview community center for playgroups from time to time and also discovered the c.o.a. in riverwest which rocks. cool parents and lots of good playgroups. hopefully we'll see you soon.
