what do I do with old batteries with out costing me money. We use to have a recyclying truck come to the area about twice a year.

What can I do next?

Assuming your in LA County. If not, then google "Battery Disposal (your county)"

Lot of times, electronic stores have containers you can bring them to such as Best Buy.

In the city I live in a recycling bin is in the lobby at our City Hall for batteries. We also have one at work. I believe a person provided a link for looking up drop off locations in LA County... You don't want to put them in the trash, for sure. :-)

I think all Walgreens have a drop off. Batteries should NOT be thrown in the garbage as they are hazardous waste.
