Bathing Suit for a 2 Year Old?

(Sorry I just asked a question - I have a lot and this site seems helpful) my father has paid for our family to to go to Disney world, and the hotel were staying at has a pool. My 4 sisters all have kids, and I went shopping with them for bathing suits, I almost bought this really cute bikini for my 2 year old daughter, but they said it was innaproperate. After I deal with the whole vitamin problem I want to go get her a bathing suit. Should I buy her a bikini? My family is very conservative and they're still mad about the whole fact that I had my first kid when I was 15 (I'm 20 now) and that I'm not married (my boyfriend left me last year) should I just bite the bullet? Thanks:)

What can I do next?

Okay, I will give you you remembered to carry over the vitamin overdose but you forgot you claimed he was 5. See 22 - 15 = 7 I know, math is hard. Trolling on this site is harder

The best kind of swimwear for toddlers in outdoor locations is actually a two piece, although not what usually comes to mind at the word 'bikini'. A rash guard top (looks like a tshirt) and bottoms large enough to accommodate swim diapers, which you will be required to use at Disney. Some bottoms are washable swim diapers, but you may want to use disposables on the trip.

Look for 'swim diaper and rash guard' in Google Images for examples of what you need.

Added: a beach hat for her is also a good idea.

Please. A bikini question when you have a possible poisoning in your house? We are a legitimate parenting forum here, not people for you to use to get attention. Take a parenting class so you learn to prioritize.

If she at 20 vitamins a few minutes ago, she probably won't be joining you on your trip anyway. Best to save your money.

I think little ones are cute in a bikini. You have to understand though that the little swimmers will look awful with it and you can't go without the little swimmer. if she leaks even the tiniest amount of pooh they have to close the pool and sanitize it.

So go get her a one piece or a tankini with a longer top. You also don't want horrible sun burns on her back and tummy.

My daughter had two pieces for a long time, first because it was easier for me to change her diaper, then because she was potty training and it was easier for her when she had to go to the bathroom. There can be modest two pieces (A string bikini is not something I would get a small child, for example) but I have no problem with little kids in bikinis.

At two my girls often wore a swim diaper. No top at all.

What is going on in our society that we find it necessary to debate the appropriateness of a baby's swim attire? I'd buy whatever damn suit I wanted.

I don't see how a bikini is inappropriate for a two year old, but since your dad is paying for the trip he would have the final authority on the matter.

I've never let my little girls wear biniki's only tankini or rashguards with the matching bottoms. They are only little once no need to dress them older then they really are. Plus most suits have UV protection so the more body that is covered the less UV rays and less sunscreen needed.

Your parents are paying for the trip be respectful of their values

She has a 5 yo son and a 2 yo daughter. She had him at 15 and she's now 20. She said 20 in both posts. I see nothing that indicates she's a troll. Have compassion for a mom who is parenting against all odds. I've met mom's very similar to her.

Because you have difficulty with your family already I would buy a conservative suit. Having a bikini is not important. Choose your battles.

Just so you know, a tankini is two piece but covers up the middle. She may be able to wear it longer because it is 2 pieces. The suit allows for growth in height.

Have fun in Disneyland.

About the pill stuff. Always call the emergency room if it's health related and has potential to be serious. You can call Poison Control but doing that will lengthenable the time before she gets treatment.
