B. I am a hairdresser and I know your pain, I would love for you to come in and talk to you about your hair. Fixing bad haircuts is something I love to do because it is a great challenge. I have many reviews on here, if you would like to see them just go to local businesses and Im at Hair Creations by C.. You can also visit me at www.HairbyCollette.com. Usually there is almost always a great solution to your hair delema. The only thing that is really hard to fix is if your hair is fried beyond repair. Hats, scarfs, and headbands are another solution if you are too scared for anybody to touch it. Please don't hesitate to call me, I would love to answer any questions you have:-)

If you can possibly get it recut by someone better, go for it. Ask around and get recommendations from friends who have great hair. But if it's already too short for your liking, just keep telling yourself "it's only hair - it will grow out." Use this opportunity to try new styling products, try scrunching up your hair to make it wavy, or spike it out. You can also find ways to cover it up, especially in cold weather! You can tie a cute scarf around your hair like a headband, or wear a hat.

I had a really horrible hair experience when I asked for strawberry-blond lowlights.. My hair was light blond before we started, and the woman made the streaks fire-engine red! Then she tried to get that out and all my hair ended up bright pink. Next she tried to cover it with brown, which turned it purple, and we should have stopped there. She tried to dye it brown over again, and it ended up almost black. I still had to go to work the next day, I was so mortified. Then my boss called me into his office and asked me "did you mean for your hair to look like that?" I told him "no" and started crying. Turns out his wife was a hairdresser, and he let me go early that day so she could fix it, and she was amazing. So that horrible hair experience actually led me to find the best hairdresser I've ever had.

Remember that you have nothing to be embarrassed about - the person who messed it up is the one who should be embarrassed. Good luck!

Unless your hair is less than a couple of inches long it could be cut again by a different professional. My hair is medium length and I usually cut it myself, I decided right before Christmas to treat myself and the lady who cut my hair butchered it. It took me several times of cutting it myself to get it somewhat back into shape. She also cut my 3yr.old grandsons and we had to give him alsmost a burr to get it to one length all over. I have a round face and am overweight so if my hair had to be really short I would think it always looded awful. So I think I would try really hard to find a style I could tolerate until I could get it back longer again.

If your hair is that short now then I think you might be able to find some cool things to do. I don't know if you remember Susan Powter or not but she used to be a weight loss "guru", she had lost hundreds of pounds and had horrible self esteem. She kept her hair in almost a burr and had awesome style. I am including a link to some pictures of her, if I had to have short, short hair then I think I would like my hair to look like hers. Trying out new things can also be a blessing. It may be you find something you would have never tried and really like it. Like spiked hair, color tipped ends, chunky stripes, hair color can add so many demensions,

If it's a bit longer then there are lots of cute styles to choose from. Think Hallie Berry, Meg Ryan, Rhianna,

Then here are styles of all sorts, very short, short, medium, long, etc...you can always pick a style you like and take a picture to a different stylist and tell them you want your hair to grow out into that style and then let then work on your hair as needed until it gets where you want it.

I hope you find a solution that makes you feel good about yourself. Trust a professional with your hair and if that doesn't work out then keep trying until you find one that is awesome.

i did and my hair was pretty short. i had it dyed two weeks before i got the cut. my color was gorgeous. i went to this very fancy salon, and the lady said it's very dry let me fix it for you. i had no idea what she did but burnt my hair and the color was gone. my color was red, light red, and by the time she was finished it was patches of white. i about screamed and she just said oh i didn't know you just had it colored. to this day i don't know what she tried to do, but i lived with that hair for a few months. i pretty confident, so i kept my confidence, but i hated my head for those months.
