Alright, I am so uncomfortable I had to ask if anyone else has had this symptom, or do I need to worry....yet? We have been trying for number two. I am supposed to start my period today (so far I have not had signs of it) but I am have major cramps. They do not feel like menstral and they only seem to be bad on my right side. If I am prego, is this normal? I know they still could be menstral and could be to early yet but man they are killing me and making me very uncomfortable! I do not want to take a test yet because we have been let down so many times. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this. With my first, I do not remember this part!!! Any insight?

What can I do next?

J.,

Honey, this could be one of two things at this early stage of pregnancy (possible pregnancy:)] Ovulation or implantation. With my first, I was doubled over with pain during implantation. I thought I had serious diarrhea-type cramps so I was sucking down Pepto LOL! Turns out I REALLY feel implanting. It wasn't like that with my 2nd pregnancy, though. I also feel ovulation. It is more localized (left or right side) so I know which ovary is producing the egg that month. Are you doing any predictors for pregnancy? (Basal Body Temp, OPK's, etc.)

I wouldn't jump on the drug train as you could be in the early stages of pregnancy.

J., I'm no doctor, but it sounds like the same symptoms I have when ever i have a small cyst on my ovary. If that is what it is, there is nothing to worry about unless the cramping gets too excrutiating. The cysts will break up with time. Cyst might not be the correct word either. It has been a while since I have had one.

I agree with Theresa. You can get meds for the pain, if you need to. If it goes too long or is too painful, it's worth a call to your doctor. Since you're trying to get pregnant, it could also be an ectopic pregnancy. I've never had one, but I've been sent to the ER twice by a doctor to rule it out. Both times were cysts. Probably you'll be fine in another 2 or 3 days. Hang in there! I know it's bad!

My daughter had an ovarian cyst and she was actually bent over crying. It was just severe cramping on the right side. The doctor ordered an ultrasound to find out what was wrong and it dissolved after a week or so. My cousin had an ovarian cyst that was as big as a baseball and they had to take her ovary. I would definately contact your doctor if the pain does not go away.
