MY only question is what's the name of this program and how can I join? lol. Congrats and good luck with future weight loss.

I recently joined a weight loss program and am having success. I have 60 punds to lose to get back to my ideal weight. My concern is, can I lose the back fat without leaving flab or extra skin? I'm not a proponent for elective surgery and am hoping by losing the weight slowly through diet and exercise, the back fat will disappear without leaving a lot of extra skin.
Any advice? Thoughts?

i have the same prob im heavy on top...let me know what exercises u do for your back and how it works for you
I don't know for sure, but I'd imagine, just like in the front, if you are/were heavy enough to stretch the skin, that's that. Not to be bearer of bad news... I don't know for sure. But even when I got down to 113 pounds, I still had the hanging sagging skin in the front, I just never personally had back fat. But I'd imagine, skin is skin, once it's that stretched out, there's only SO MUCH elasticity, ya know? When I get really thin my skin just hangs there. BUT that's what girdles are for! YOU TOO can look like a thin person without flab in one! I hide my stomach skin, and there's a lot of it... with a nice girdle, and in a non-clingy shirt you can't even tell I have one on, I just look like every other thin person LOL
You just had a baby, so give yourself more time to lose the weight. Make sure that you're losing it for the right reasons. If the doctor says you're healthy, leave well enough alone. I heard on the news the other day that a little extra fat on the body helps keep you healthy.
Just keep at it and it will eventually start toning, especially with the strength training.
hey robin well i think you should start the wieght loss program and work out at least 3 times per week lose your 60lbs.and if you still have fat back then i would go for lipo.
Hi Robyn,
Congrats on you joining a weight loss program. Sounds like your off to a great start! Lose the weight slowly and exercise (walking, swimming, stair climbing, aerobic classes, etc..) at least 3 times a week and you will gain just the right amount of muscle that will change your body composition. Tone muscles will aid in your skins recovery. Fat will melt away as long as you use it for your energy. Good luck :)
