Well it seems to me that this would be a good start. I am a single mom blessed with a joyful daughter and still in search of a sitter to establish a consistent relationship with (sadly the person who cares for her during the work week does not do sitting otherwise). What would be helpful for those interested in calling on you is a little more information about you, your location, your availability, and what you would charge. We live near Frankford and the Tollway. I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you have received many responses to your request.

S. are you listed or Registered? That the first place I would start. You can also put an ad in the paper to find children to watch. The Denton Record Cronicle does a ad in the local sunday Dallas morning news. You have to call them. You can run an ad for a month for about $26. Check out these wedsites:

I hope this helps,

Hi S.,

I had a home daycare a couple of years ago. I advertised by making business cards and placing them in apartments by the mailboxes, taping them by the ATM machines, bulletin boards at schools and churches. I also put an ad in the Greensheet. It took a couple of weeks but I started getting quite a few calls. If you are registered with the state you will also be put on their list as a daycare provider. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

My best guess would be to list yourself with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child.... On websites, such as this one would be another good option, along with the "Dallas Child" or "Fort Worth Child" Magazine. You may even want to try to go local, and post signs at your local grocery store.
