My 8-mo old keeps tilting and jerking his head down to one side towards his right shoulder. Ear infection? I know more docs are not doing antibiotics for ear infections... should I call the doc? no fever, acting normal... thanks!
Thanks moms. Called the after-hours on call nurse, she said it sounds like swimmer's ear. I'm taking him in on Monday!
It could be torticolis--- i would go to the doctor and get your baby checked out. GL

if this is new, then definitely call the dr!
If his head is a constant tilt like can't pull it up then it maybe muscular, called Tortacollis. My son had it at age 4mon. It is a tightening of the neck muscles. But it would be a constant tilt as though it is hard to straighten the neck. I wish you all the best and hope it is just a mild ear infection. If it is tortacollis try PT and Chiro it did wonders for my little guy.
Did this Just start today? I would take him to he Dr ! It could be for a Variety of reasons..........I'm not going to start listing things to make you Stress! But I really would have the Dr check him out mama!!!
