8 Month Old Keeps Tilting Her Head

My friend is a nanny for twin 8 month olds and one of them keeps tilting her head to the left. She did fall the other day and has a little bump on the left side of her head. The babies mom is wondering if the head tilting could be related to the bump on her head. When they were at the doctor on Monday for flu shots the doctor said that her left ear was not real clean on the inside. Do you think it has become an ear infection, or is it related to the bump on the head?
Thank you for any answers that I can pass on to my friend!

Following a bump on the head, it needs medical attention.

Other things to consider, as an infant, did the baby prefer, when sleeping on her back, to rest her head to one predominant side? If this is the case, the next and shoulder muscles are tight and pulling the head to one side. This can be remedied with massage.

My daughter went through a head tilting stage around 8-12 months old- that was when she was actively teething and I think she was feeling some jaw/ear pain. I had a friend whose son did that too and it was teething related.

I think it depends on if she's done this only recently, or if maybe mom is just now noticing it. My grandson was referred by his doctor for tilting his head in one direction. They said some people do it and need physical therapy at a young age to correct it. We watched him and just never noticed it. So we didn't take him. We figured we know him better than the doctor. Maybe he slept oddly that day and had a stiff neck.

I have since noticed that Andrew Wommack (television preacher), tilts his head toward his right, almost all the time. Well...I'm not sure how the camera works. Maybe it's his left LOL. Anyway, he almost never has his head straight up and down. Now that I know it's a problem, I swear that bothers me to watch him LOL. I probably never would have noticed before.

It might be related to her eye sight. I would recommend going to see an eye Dr or specialist and see if she might not being see correctly out of one eye.

My daughter does this exact thing when she has an ear infection. That with a fever is the only way I know she has an infection.
