Hi R.,
My son is 11 months old. He got his first two bottom teeth at six months as well. It was a couple of days after Christmas and it was so cool! We couldn't stop peeking at them. One came in and then the next one almost the very next day. He got his top two front teeth within weeks and then 2 more aside of those. Teeth coming in is one of those things that just varies from baby to baby.
A C-section is major surgery and I'm sure you've heard that before. You might also have heard that it usually takes about 9 months to a year before you really start to feel "normal" again. So, even after 6 months, you're still healing. I'm experiencing some similar problems although I wasn't all that fit before my pregnancy, but I was one of those weird people who actually LOST weight with pregnancy. For me it was due to the strict diet while having gestational diabetes and then afterward, I breastfed and tried to go back to work full time. (it was horrible and I regretted trying to go back. I too am very career oriented so now I work from home PT) I ended up losing 16 lbs. in addition to all of the baby weight so I was lucky although now it's getting harder to keep it off since I'm now a SAHM and my son is starting to slow down on the breast feeding. The weight is slowly creeping back on and a lot of that is due to one of the things you mentioned....my joints are really bothering me too and I'm not sure why. Let me know if you find out and I'd be interested to know what they say. For me, my feet also stiffen up and it hurts to walk after sitting for any period of time and especially when I wake up in the morning (or middle of the night). I try to take walks to keep my legs in shape but my shins really bother me now. My wrists especially hurt. Turning the key in the lock to the right is really painful. I'm over 30 and I think I have arthritis since in my 20s like my mom so I just attribute it to that, but since you mentioned your feet being stiff, I made the connection. When I had my C-section, they pumped me full of antibiotics and fluids and I thought I was going to pop like a balloon! I still have pain once in a while at my incision and it stills feels like thick scar tissue when I press it and it's been almost a year now. Sometimes I even think the weather affects it and it's more tender sometimes.
Sometimes I wonder what damage pregnancy does to your joints over time. I try to eat healthy and take vitamins, but the lack of steady sleep isn't that healthy when it comes down to it. I also had a large baby who got stuck for 7 hours at 7 cms and they had to take him via C section. My pregnancy was really painful due to severe nerve compression in my leg although my memory has faded, I know it was awful. My son is awesome...he's just B-I-G!
Well, I hope the physical therapy helps you. I think I'm going to look into something like that too as soon as I can get some health insurance. Let me know what works out!
All the best,
Lucian's Mommy
