Ok, this question is just for fun and curiosity. What do y'all do with your kiddos teeth after one has been lost? I have a drawer containing Ziploc bags full of teeth and sticky notes with the names and dates. My husabnd asked if I was going to get three full collections and then sell them on eBay!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the replies! It was fun to hear what other people do. I'm not very sentimental person usually but the days are fleeting. I often see little boys playing at Chick Fil A and just nearly want to cry because mine are now going to dances and playing in the concert band and stuff like that. Sniff, sniff.

I have saved all my children's teeth. I keep them in a glass jar on my dresser. It's opaque, so no-one can see the teeth.

My husband just had his 40th birthday, and his mom brought a bundle of stuff over for him, like his old cub scout uniform, year books, and all his teeth!! He was a bit shocked, but I thought it was sweet!

I have a jewelry box full of "pearls" from our 8 kids over the years. It is one of my greatest treasures.
Maybe you could have 3 little boxes, one for each. It costs nothing to keep them and they are full of precious memories.
Shame on your husband for thinking that you would ever want to sell them! :(

The tooth fairy doesn't keep them? Just Kidding!

My 5 year old DS has just lost two thus far and I did keep both of them (not sure if I am going to keep them all). I just put them in envelopes wrote the date on the outside, sealed it, and stuck it in underwear drawer (didn't figure he'd be looking for anything there -- LOL).

Most of my friends have kept some but not all of their kids teeth. I guess after they are older it looses some of it's cuteness and charm!

save them for the baby book, or give them to the kids when they have their first child.

Gather pictures of each child toothless at various times-and creat a collage for each child-using the teeth to decorate or just a few teeth glued to page here and there. Then mount in shadow box frame? Or create a thicker than usual page for scrapbook or photo album? You can always just put them in a time capsule of various things from their ages to be gone through at a wedding rehearsal dinner like my mother did for my little brother. It had people in stiches and tears.. many things from through the years and little stories that were funny and cute too. Brother got to take the time capsule with him and his new wife LOVED it!!

Just a few thoughts. I'm just starting the collection of teeth. My oldest is 6 so I've only got 3 teeth so far...

I'm smiling bc I do the exact same thing!! It's hard to get rid of them. I don't know what to tell you. I guess there is just no reasoning for this 'type' of insanity. It's just a Mom thing ;)

I save pretty much everything else (dress worn home from the hospital, lock of hair from the first haircut, first scribbles, etc.), but I drew the line at teeth. I threw them all away.

I just found the baggie of my son's teeth a few weeks ago. He's 17 years old now and I have every tooth, but I didn't date them. We woman are much more sentimental then men, so I say keep them....scrapbook them.

I hope you husband was kidding (lol :o)) I am saving my kids teeth for them to show their kids... I have some of my baby teeth and I think that is cool.

on a side note, if you have teeth that you dont know what to do with, you can donate them to a search and rescue dog training team and they use them to train cadaver (dead body) search dogs... the teeth they use can not belong to a human they work with or know (because that would confuse the dog) so they often need donated teeth. (I know.. gross, but it serves a purpas)

I thought I was crazy, I kept all of my son's and some have said that I was silly for keeping them all. Although I did not date them, I still know which is my son't first tooth lost.

I keep my son's teeth in my jewlery box. I have them in baggies with a note on when and where he was was when they came out. Men do not understand this, my husband thinks I am nuts for keeping our son's teeth. I like it! My mom kept my teeth, so it's the thing to do!

I say keep the teeth. Yes they are precious. But, more so than all of that.. modern medicine is amazing! Maybe one day doctors can use them like cord blood. I have heard something about this already is in the works. This is one reason I hang on to my kids baby teeth.
