Daisy and Dahlia for the twins and Clover for the little sister---then all three could be flowers!
(Hi this is N. (Sierra's mom 12 year old girl) Sierra Has lately been loving to planning everything she wants to do in her life. Where she is going to live what pets she is going to have what there names will be, what gender her kids are going to be what there names will be, what she is going to be, where she will go to school literaly everything even down to the ages of her kids. But she has been stuck on what some of the names for her kids will be. She says she wants to have one set of twins (girls) and one younger kid (girl also) She so far has Clover for the youngest or Allie or Gwen. But she does not know what to name the twins (lol) ( Also I kinda want to see which names you moms out there like to)
- Thanks

Dear Sierra,
While it's fun to think of your future, it's best not to be too obsessed or rigid about things.
When I was little, much younger than you, I imagined that I would have two daughters. (Just like my M. did). I loved thinking of different names and how they would sound together. I changed my mind at least a million times.
The funny thing is, I didn't have two daughters and I didn't use a single name that I had ever imagined when I actually did have my kids.
We can plan and plan and plan.
But, we don't always get exactly what we plan for and sometimes that's a very beautiful thing about life.
It's fun to imagine, but what if you get three boys and no twins in the bunch?
I think you should keep a handwritten journal of your thoughts.
It will be fun for you to have it when you are older and you can remember all the things that were going through your mind at this age.
Your kids will also enjoy it one day.
Whatever you have.
You're young. Don't worry so much about having kids just yet.
Dear Nicole,
Does your daughter have any friends her own age that she can talk to about this kind of stuff? Is she asking these questions or are you?
No offense, but I have a 15 year old son and I don't let him see anything on this site. Just the headings under recently asked questions can be a little out there....
There are things on here kids shouldn't be reading about.
No harm done, I'm sure, and that's just my opinion.
I wish you both the best.
I remember doing the same thing when I was about that age- I had a bunch of really fancy names that I loved- none of them "fit" my kids though and I have named them completly different names than I thought I would! :) ( I have 5+ 1 on the way!- no twins though!)
I have a sister named Gwen- short for Gwendolyn. I always thought that was a pretty name. I would suggest for now she pick out a theme for her names. Does she want really fancy names? like Victoria? or ones she can shorten( Gwendolyn- Gwen, Samantha- Sam) or flower names(Rosie, Clover, Daisy) or just down to earth common names(Jane, Lynn, Ann)?
And for the twins, does she want them to rhyme or start with the same letter or have them completely different?
Come up with some themes with her, M., and just have a lot of fun with this!
We have been trying to find a name for our boy that is due next month and our 5 year old wants to name him Grasshopper Catcher!
Have fun!
~C.
Great imagination! Wonderful to hear.
I like Cheyenne Nicole.
Since she is only picking out girls names I am guessing one of two things will happen. She will either have all boys or she will pick completely different names for the girls when the time comes.
How old is Sierra? If she is young, then this is cute! If she is an adult... twins and girls don't just happen out of want! You really have no control over that. Do you think maybe she should think of boys names, too?
I like Lily and Rose, if you're looking for flower names. I like Clover as well.
I like for girl names ( Jasmine & Jennia) Boy names ( Dylan & Daniel) i thought these names were cute hopefully you will 2
I totally get her planning it out and the fantasy of "what will it be like when I'm older", but it's also completely reasonable to remind her that she can't actually plan it all out in those details.
Get (or make) her a journal or a "wish book". Let her draw, cut from magazines, etc the general things that she wants in her life. Encourage her to have the goals, but in a more general way that she can find rewarding instead of discouraging. Having the general goal of "have kids" allows for infertility or single parenthood and the basic fact that twins can't usually be planned.
It's so fun to imagine with kids and encourage their anything-can-happen attitude, but as parents, we're also responsible for bringing in
a little realism too.
That's cute :-) I used to do the same thing! I was 100% going to have Girl first......... I Have a DS! LOL
I used to Adore the names Hailey Whisper and Crystal Rose!
Clover is really fun! I like that its unique! There wont be 3 other Clovers in her class!!!! haha
Twin girls.... Lily and Rose :-)
I'm curious, what career does she want to go for?? I wanted to be a soap opera actress or a fashion designer...... I'm an administrative assistant!
:-)
