I found my son's name by reading movie and tv credits (Adrian). Actors get to creat names and it is a good place to see some unusual and yet not to different ideas. Good luck choosing and you may want to consider picking from some favorite nicknames you have heard. My second son is Alexander, but my favorite nickname was xander. I like the modern twist to the classic names.
Something that's kinda trendy right now are last names for first names. We named our second son Cooper. He's 6 mos old. I really liked the name Jackson, but my first son's name is Jesse, so I didn't like the idea of having Jesse and Jackson.
Old fashioned names are kinda cool too! I really like the names Henry and Charlie. Sam is a cute name. Hope this helps.

I was also going to suggest Aiden! I also like Noah, and Caleb. Good luck and God Bless!
I have a boy name that beats all! (I think so anyway) I wanted to use it but hubby wanted a name that meant something. By the way - I could only find it in one baby name book. It is very rare but very masculine and cool. Ready! The name is ......
GRAFTON: Means "The Duke if England was named after the city of Grafton."
I'd love to here your response to this name. I liked it cause it was so different and yet still very masculin. I am tired of hearing all of those soap opera names.
I work in Labor and Delivery. We see a lot of Aiden, Ethan, Evan and Noah right now; all are great names, but if you pick one of those be prepared for him to share the name with lots of other kids in school. A patient the other day had a boy named Brody; I think that's a nice name and it's different without being too different.
Hi A.,
My name is K., and I am also an early childhood educator in the Detroit Metro area. I have observed a couple of boy name trends as of late. First is the return of names from the 40's and 50's like Henry and Harry. Second are those romantic type names such as Liam, Julian, and Kent. I think they are unique, but not to far out there.
I have a son named Gabriel (who is 6 years old) and a son named Christian (who is 2 years old). I, like you, wanted names that were not that commom, but were not too different. I feel both of these names fit the bill!
I really love Carson.
I love Rocco or Liam
My 9yo sons name is Benjamin. We haven't run across many other Ben's in his classes. I also like Aidan. But usual names seem to be more the norm now. Before we had our last, 3yo Abigail, I was leaning to more traditional boy names like John, James and Jonathan. They seem to be rare now. Brenden seems to be the most popular boys name these days. Good Luck and Congrats!
We named our son Giulian (pronunced Julian). We were a little worried that it sounded feminine, but have gotten nothing but compliments!
Our other choice was Dominic, which is my husband's name.
Always loved Wyatt. Very different, very strong.
My 15 year old son's name is Steel. Everyone including him loves it. Yes, it is different, but it is such a strong name. He also has these piercing blue eyes that we say are steel blue:) I am surprised that it being so odd that he really likes it. And heck, when he is older the girls sure will remember his name!!
We named my son 5 years ago after my brother who passed away. His name is Bradley and we don't hear that name at all. We just got back from a Disney cruise though and I yelled for Bradley to hurry about and one of the Cast Members turned around and had a shirt on that said, Hi My Name Is Bradley :) Which my son thought was really neat!
Good Luck and Congrat's!!

We are having a second boy in June also - our first is named Casey. Casey has turned out to be a fabulous name - everyone knows it, can spell it, but there are not a lot of them. On the down side, the Casey's that are out there are girls, usually Kacy, Kaci or Kacey. But we decided not to worry about that. So, I recommend Casey! Also, our nephew who is arriving in a few weeks will be Carter which I like, and I also like Cooper. My friend named her boys Simon and Nolan, which I also like. Hope you find the one thats right for you - we sure do say them A LOT!!
Best of luck!
What about: Clay, Clayton, Grayson?
My favorites with my son 1 &1/2 yrs ago were Cole, Evan, & Clayton. His name is Cole.
