Call ahead and ask around. Some hotels do have cribs you can use. I actually remember hearing stories of my mom putting me to bed in a dresser drawer on the floor when i was a baby. lol Not saying i recommend that though

Most good hotels with have something to accomodate you. I would call ahead and reserve a crib if they have them. If not you could always use a playpen. Good luck with the move.

Many hotels have cribs or pack n'plays if you tell them in advance you'll need it.

Some hotels have cribs you and use and/or rent. We always bring our pack n' play along to have them sleep in. It is so much easier to have them sleep in that then worring about them falling out of bed. Good Luck.

Do you have a small travel pack-n-play? They sell miniature ones at Babies-R-Us and you can use it for a few more months until she outgrows it. I have a 1yo and my personal experience is that majority of hotels didn't have suitable cribs (they were old or not too clean) or they simply didn't have them. You should call ahead and if they do, bring your own sheets and some of your daughters comforts of home (blankie etc).

I haven't stayed at a hotel that doesn't have a crib. Just call to confirm they have one and have them put it in the room. Also a good idea to ask for a frig....I've found by asking, most hotels will put a small one in your room at no charge. That way you can bring your own milk and small food items (saves you from eating out).

a lot of hotels have a portable crib, you just have to call and ask.

I say bring your own pack n play. Target has one for $46.99

Call and ask when you reserve your rooms, but we travel frequently with our kiddos and always had access to a pack-n-play or crib at the hotels.

I know you already have a lot of good feedback, but I thought I'd add this. It is definitely a good idea to call and ask/reserve a crib and you might want to take your own sheets also. It always made me feel a little more comfortable with my little ones. Good luck with everything!

Good Morning R., I worked in hotels for more than 15 years and most hotels offer cribs but you do have to request it ahead of time. Personally I would never use one in a hotel only because out of the 80 hotels we managed I never saw the cribs maintained. They were wobbley and were never cleaned. I would check with some friends to see if they have a portable play pen you could borrow or take the chair. I just don't trust the cribs in the hotels. If you do decide to use the crib in the hotel, make sure to take some clorox clean ups and wipe it down. Hope this helps

Call ahead to the hotel you will be staying at. MOST places have 1 or 2 pack n' play or portable cribs that they will let you use at no additional cost. The problem is that they only have 1 or 2, and they are on a reserved or first come first served basis. So if you don't call ahead, they might already be promised to another "guest".

Also, I think that if you let them know that you have a baby, they might put you in a more isolated area of the hotel... so your potentially crying baby won't disturb other guests... which might work in your favor.. as there might be fewer late night slamming doors in the hallways, too. :)

Just call ahead as far in advance as you can and ASK to RESERVE a crib for your baby. And bring a spare sheet for it, 'cause you won't want to put your baby on theirs. :)

The first time I requested a crib from a hotel (using the 800 number) they told me there would be one available, and when I got there, they told me that they were phasing them out and that this location didn't have them anymore! I was not a happy camper--I COULD have brought my pack n play if they had told me that over the phone! I put my daughter in a little pile of blankets and sheets on the floor, and in the morning we couldn't find her! Scary--she had rolled under the bed.

So, if a crib is important, don't trust that they will have them.
You can use the bouncy chair, but if you want a pack n play, consider checking the resale shops. They might have them for half price. I would suggest borrowing one, but you are moving, so I guess you can't return it.

I have seen travel portable beds in Target. You might want to check those out. I believe some hotels do offer cribs. You could also try having a bed sleeper where you put it in the middle of you and your spouse.

Yes, most generally have a crib that they can bring to the room although sometimes by "crib" they mean a pack n play which kind of grosses me out when that is the case. I have 3 kiddos and I have yet to find a hotel that doesn't offer some kind of bed for baby, and we vacation quite often. You may want to bring a blanket or sheet of your own to go over whatever it is that they give you, if you are a germaphobe like me :)

The hotel can give you that answer--is there some reason you can't ask them?

The few times I stayed in motels when the boys were babys,the kids slept in their chair. Or get a room with two queen beds and one of you sleep with the baby in the bed. There might be a crib on site, you could call ahead and ask.... but there's always that "sanitation" issue to wonder about.

Check Craigslist, I know people who have got a lot of great deals on baby stuff like a pack n play on Cragislist! Also check resale shops, goodwill etc. It really will be worth it to have a pack n play, trust me!

I agree with others, you can call the hotel and ask but be prepared in case it is not available when you get there.
