Okay after tons of research about relief of PMS, I am reading calcium and B vitamins daily help relieve the fatigue, grouchiness and even cramping. So I take a multi vitamin now every morning with B vitamins, does it stay in your system or is it like C where you pee it out once your body absorbs so much? I hate taking this liquid B supplement I just got if in fact I have some already with my multi womens vitamin.
I also got Flax Oil, Calcium supplements so hoping to knock out my PMS to some degree. I am complete grouch the week before my period, get headaches, impatient, emotional, it is NUTS!

What can I do next?

I don't know a whole heck of a lot about what vitamins take care of what problem, except that I take B12 for Restless Leg Syndrome when it flares up. It generally flares up around PMS time, and it helps immediately. I wonder if the two symptoms coincide? Anyhow, the B12 I take is not a gross liquid. It is a tiny cherry flavored pill that I stick under my tongue that dissolves in seconds. It doesn't taste bad at all. From my experience, when I feel bad, I take it, it gets absorbed immediately, and I feel great for hours. My pain usually happens during the night, so I fall asleep quickly, and don't think about it again until the next time my symptoms occur. I realize we are talking about two different symptoms/ailments, but you have got me thinking about checking my calendar when my legs act up. Just a thought. If you are interested in checking out a different B vitamin, you can get the tiny tab one at Wal-Mart in the vitamin section. Good luck, and I will let ya know what I discover in a couple of weeks.

I don't know if it is like vitamin C, but I have always taken my vitamins right before bed with the hopes that I won't pee them out, since I don't drink during the night. I am also taking a vit. B and calcium citrate supplement, but it is not a liquid--it's a pill.

Vitamins A, D, E, & K are fat soluble and are stored in your fat so you have to be careful about taking too much because it's easy to overdose, but the others, including B vitamins are water soluble and you pee out the excess. If you want the level to be high enough in your system, you might try taking a dose of B in the a.m. and p.m. during the rough week. Good luck!
