My almost 5 year old is the same way. Everything is argued about, from what she's going to wear to why she can't do something. I think that it's just part of being their age to be honest. A lot of the time I'll say "end of discussion" and refuse to say another word about it. Also, something that seems to be working lately is when she argues or asks the same question repeatedly I'll say "I already answered that. Did you not hear me?" Then, she tends to drop it. I try to keep in mind that if I take part in the arguing, then I'm "arguing with a 5 year old" which is absurd when you really think about it. It really does help if you refuse to argue with her. Either tell her that you gave your answer, end of discussion, whatever it takes, but if you sit there and argue with her, she'll continue arguing more and more if she's anything like my daughter. Girls are fun fun fun, aren't they???? I keep telling my neighbor who has a 2 year old that always argues with her until she gets her way that she is in for some big trouble if she keeps giving in to her. She has no idea!!!!
