Hey You Guys I am not sure this is really a question but just wondering if any of you guys felt this way too? If you do... I guess we could use this as a way to remind those of you who have asked a question to go back and update us who take the time to reply...cuz we care and think about you

If you have asked a recent question and have not followed up or if you ever ask a future question remember to go back and let us know how it turned out?
Cuzzz we care!
To those repliers:
Am I being a pain or do any of you guys agree? Have you ever wondered what happened to so and so that you spent a few minutes of your day feeling connected to and then think.... gee wonder what ever happened to her? And then it seems as if they never even came back to read the 72 replies. I mean we don't need a blow by blow play of their life but it would be nice to know they at least took the time to come back to see that we took the time to care to reply to their question.

Anyone else feel the same way?

What can I do next?

I would love follow-ups, too. But I would hope the mom would either restate her orgininal question, or, better yet, copy and paste the address of the original into the follow-up, so we can go back and see the additional responses that others have offered. It can be hard and time-consuming to find out what the original question was, and my brains won't hang on to too many details these days.

I wish we would get an email alert when someone posts a WHAT HAPPENED post. Just like we get RESPONSE email alerts. And yes I do go back and search the what happens because I want to make sure we are all being helpful. :) Sometimes I feel so bad when moms feel they have to defend themselves in the What Happened section. There seems to be some harsh responses out there. When I have come across those mom's who feel barratted by other moms here I try to write them a personal message to encourage them to stick with mamapedia and not let those "negative Nancies" get to them. I encourage the rest of you wonderful mammas to do the same. :)

I always like it when there's a followup of some sort too. I've even PM'd people and asked how it turned out.

Me too! Even though I don't always have helpful advice, I do care and keep them in my prayers and often send a hug.

Agree! I've even asked this same question. I really am curious lots of times as to the outcome of certain situations and I do care, too.

I agree with Exhausted! I do wish if we gave our 2 cents to someone, and they updated what happened we got an email. Good feedback for that site that I'll make right now :)

You could always send that person a private message. I've done that on a few occasions where there wasn't a follow up.

I wish more people would use the "So What Happened?" to tell us, well, um what happened.

It drives me batty when people create an entirely new 'question' to tell us what happened. Unless we responded to the original question, we may have no idea what on earth you're talking about. Using the 'So What Happened' connects your update to your question and it all makes sense. Finally, it doesn't clog up/spam the forum which should be for questions.
