No, and I agree with you anyways. You shouldn't feel the need to apologize for an opinion on that :)
Hi, ladies,
Are any of you also on the facebook mamapedia page? Ulp....I know this may sound ridiculous but a few months ago, there was a mamapedia post with the "Demi Moore" type pregnancy pose -- the full belly thing. At the time, Mainstreet USA (a biz news site) had a very similar (in color) logo to mamapedia. I don't like the pose, it seems a little risque (ok, I'm old) and I said so. THINKING I was responding to the biz page! I would NEVER have said that to Mamapedia moms. I thought it was overkill, TMI, etc. IF it was on Mainstreet. But it would've been appropriate on a mom page, OF COURSE!
So -- as you can imagine, I got beat up pretty bad. I tried to explain my error & backtrack but of course, cybermemory is short & no one responded back. I felt pretty bad! For saying what I said & offending.
Did anyone see it? And hate me? I apologize!!!! :D
I think I am too sensitive....one person said I should go crawl back under a rock. FB can be brutal!
Thank you all for some much-needed perspective! Aww, Theresa, that is so nice! :)
No, and I agree with you anyways. You shouldn't feel the need to apologize for an opinion on that :)
I'm not on FB Mamapedia just for that reason...so I didn't see it.
No I didn't see it, but good Lord Girl, who could hate someone named P.?!
I really like public apologies. Very cool!
:)
I did not see it (I'm not on there on FB) and don't know why you felt the need to apologize. The world yells all the time that we need to be tolerant. Only the only tolerance anyone seems to be willing to have is to push the bounderies of decency further and further. Old fashioned ideas or Christian ideas might as well be treason in the eyes of so many. Have your opinions and be willing to spout them. That's what this life is about.
The other day when I was getting beat up on here for thinking the world will one day soon HAVE to accommodate the needs of the chemically sensitive person, I received messages from people thanking me for bringing it up and saying they didn't have the guts to agree publicly with me. What the heck? Have a little courage I say.
Didn't see it and I don't "hate" anyone on here! There is a lot of back and forth on this site and I enjoy it :)
i did not see the above situation but i will tell you i stand up to people posting nasty or even anti religious things (any religion) and i always get knocked down for it. i am with you and dont find the naked preggger belly photos to be anything other than tacky. its not my cup of tea at all. but i do realize that is a personal option. . . to hang in there home. nudy pics arent welcome on my computer no matter how big your baby bump is! fb has rules about those types of things. I am with you on this one. its totally find to voice your opnion even if you stand alone.
Don't worry about it! It's your opinion. People are mean and it's easy to say rude things hiding behind the internet. I don't think it's necessary to post pictures like that either. I didn't see the picture but if I remember correctly, she is naked and trying to cover up. Yes, pregnancy is beautiful but sometimes I'm just not in the mood to see a woman flaunt her belly. Especially with the rest of her body naked. What you said is not awful or terribly offensive. I'm sure it just made those, who like the naked pregnancy pictures, feel defensive. Let it roll off. Don't spend another minute worry about what these people think.
I think you should let it go. Unless it was one of your close friends, you apologized and that should be the end. All of us are guilty at one time or another of jumping the gun. Don't let this eat at you. I hope you have a better weekend.
I'll bet nobody even remembered until you just brought it up. :o)
Next time, as soon as you realize that you posted erroneously, delete it!
