I joined about a week ago and I am completely addicted. I might be because I am a stay at home mom, married to a workaholic and have no adult to talk to.
I certainly am! I've learned a lot from this site even after having experienced a lot in my 67 years. This is one place I don't feel old. I love to be around mothers and children and have been my whole life. I miss the sense that I'm a mother too now that my similar age friends are "old" like me. lol None of my friends who are still in my life have children or grandchildren. I have a complicated sense of being old and wise sometimes and young and learning at the same time.

Yes, completely addicted since I joined a few years ago! =) I've actually met a few mamas on here who have become my good friends in real life. I'm not a SAHM, but I love the site too because it helps me connect with so many great moms - I don't have the opportunity to talk to other moms at work (I work at a construction company, LOL). I have received so much wonderful advice here!

I LOVE this website, I am addicted. Even my husband has started to say "Ask Mamapedia" if we have a question about the kids, its hilarious! I have never gotten such great advice and tips as I have on here. Every hospital should recommend this website to new parents after their baby is born!!!!!!

i refuse to admit it.
refuse refuse refuse
like someone else said, this is 'adult' time. well, closest to it.
right?
also, it's a good feeling to know you helped someone with advice, or read about others' going through hard times.
interesting, i have a hard time opening up to a 'live' person, but bottling it all up for years has been taking a toll on me. now i can just put bits and pieces of what i am going through and feels like a brick has been taken off my heavy load.
so no not addicted to mamapedia...not admitting to it at least :)

Absolutely - and you don't have to be SAHM to get addicted. I have to restrain myself from checking at work. I've been on for six months or so, and it frequently keeps me up past my bedtime!

Totally. The people here are awesome:) I've learned so much from this site and I've become a much better mom. It's too bad our moms didn't have this site while they were raising children. I think that this site is changing a generation of new moms for the better. I recommend it to just about every woman I know....and after a while, they feel the same way I do:)

I've been on Mamapedia since my son was born 5 years ago. It was called Mamasource then. I spend too much time answering questions and reading other requests. It has been an awesome resource for finding local doctors/photographers/carpet cleaners/mechanic, etc. and MANY other wonderful things have been brought to my life through insightful answers from other mothers on here. I heard about MOMS Club on here, and that has been awesome for me and my kids. I could go on and on and on about the great books I've read because of moms recommending them, websites, local places to go with kids, and on and on.

I've been on here about 5 years I think. I love to see what everyone is thinking and talking about. I don't have many adults in my life either since I'm a 24 hour caregiver.

Yes, I am one of the older mommas on here. I do get to see a new side of the younger mommas that was not available when my kids were younger. Keep chatting good to learn new ways to solve old problems.

PS I seem to check out what is happening at work a lot (gotta run now).
