I do not care for Kohl's. They advertise how cheap they are suppose to be, but I have found them to be expensive. I have never understood what the big deal is over that place!
I AM!! I just got my 30% off coupon in the mail and since they are giving Kohl's cash, I think I'm going to go this weekend and just get my kids clothes for Christmas (they generally get 2 full new outfits each, 2 pairs of pajama's, and a pair of new shoes). That can get REALLY expensive! I think you have to have 30% off to make it a good deal though, otherwise their sales prices are everyone else's regular prices :).
Do you Kohl's?
Haha, my hubby took my card from me. He doesn't know I only have to ask them to look it up and it's the same deal. I also really try to use my check card there. You can still use your coupon and NOT use your Kohl's card. OH! And Kohl's cash NEVER expires...if you didn't know :).

I love Kohl's too.
If you ever Kohl's online go to coliryan.com click on stores and go to K for Kohls. They will pay you another 2% in cash back. It usually goes up around Christmas time. Every little bit helps.
:)
YES!!!!! the card is in hubby's name and I dont want to get one in mine cause I would just go crazy! lol
I will probably be in the minority here. I can certiantly understand the addiction, but my problem was immediately fixed in 1998 when they sent my Kohl's bill to the wrong address (sent to my dad's address because that was what was on my license, I had my address on the back - I rarely speak to him or see him). The minute I found out I had an outstanding balance (I had forgotten, yes my fault), I paid it. I was 32 days late on the payment and they already had it put on my credit record, causing dammage to my credit rating. They would not remove it because it was sent to someone's house that I knew and were very unprofessional in how they treated me (as if I was purposely trying to scam them). I did not appreciate how I was treated and vowed I would never shop there again. I haven't since and would probably be spending around at least $5K a year (due to my previous addiction) to which I find a way to spend at other places. The lesson? Just don't get on Kohl's bad side, they are very unforgiving.
I love kohls. When I get the 30%off my husband is sad because he knows i will go :) You get the best deals now for pjs usually 50% off plus the 30 it is the lowest all year. have fun ! Remember you can return it whenever with a receipt. I love that!
I shop there way too much! We always seem to have a 30%...my husband gets one, I get one or a friend is passing one around! Time to take a break though, until the card gets paid off!
Yes!! I love Kohls!! Thank God I don't have a credit card there!!!
Did most of my Christmas shopping in September when they had their summer clearance sale and Kohl's cash - got $50 Kohl's cash! SWWEEETT!!
I love Kohls's and like you I got a 30% coupon in the mail so I plan to usei it. My daughters b-day is next month so I plan to find an outfit for her party. I need new dishes too and I saw they had some on sale so with my 30% off I will do well.
I got my 30% too, but it's always when I don't need anything and really can't afford to either. Almost all of my clothes are from there.
Honestly, I have NEVER been there. Not even once.
Am I really missing out?
I still have never been in one of these stores. They're not convenient to me -although I think one opened kind of sorta near me (at least inside the perimeter or ITP as we say in Atlanta). My mother went a few times before she died, and I remember her liking it.
Nope! Too expensive. Their coupons are too low, so they might as well not have coupons. That's just my opinion
I loved Kohls when I was in California. Now that I am in a different state, the nearest Kohls is hours away :( I love there return policy!
Yes I am!! Love getting the 15% off coupons, kohl's cash you name it then I am there...Love the sales. I really should open a CC there to get the extra 30% you are all talking about....I just hate the idea of having a CC but Kohl's is practically in our backyard..convenient and easy to shop for just about everyone...
anyone think I should open one? I do not have any other department store ones....
YES! I have had a charge card there for a few years. I love getting the 30% off plus Kohls cash...I spend way too much money there! My 3 year old really wants one of those happy napper pillow pet things for Christmas. That thing was $24.99, with my Kohls cash, 20% off and $.99 shipping (you could only get it online) I got that thing for $8 total!!!
Just bought $25 king size pillows for $9 each, without a coupon. Life is good.
Well, last night I made a special trip to Kohl's to use my $10 Kohl's cash because it was going to expire. I also had a $10 off a $30 purchase attached to the newspaper this week and a 15% off card. So I bought $34 worth of stuff on sale and paid about $14. The receipt said I said I saved about $86 dollars--not a bad shopping night. I will ask about the expiration date on Kohl's cash-thanks for the tip.
I agree with some other mamas.. they seem expensive for what it is and then I never find anything there that is really all that great.
Yep. was there Wed.
Some coupons you have to use your Kohl's card to get the discount. The clerk told me that the Kohl's cash DOES expire.
Yes!! I don't have any credit cards at all, but my mom does so when we go visit my parents it usually includes a Kohl's shopping trip. I'll pick out whatever, she'll put it on her card, I'll give her cash. She keeps whatever Kohl's cash she gets & deducts it from what I owe her. It works out beautifully!
No, I don't think their sale prices are everyone else's regular prices at all.
I do like Kohl's and use my charge to get the coupons, etc., but pay it off while I'm still at the register.
The important thing is not to get carried away and overspend when everything is "such" a good deal!
If you can combine a coupon (20 or 30% off) with their sale prices and get Kohl's cash back? That's a beautiful thing!
At my Kohl's there is a set date you can use the Kohl's cash, I know becasue I've let some slip by and didn't get to use, wonder if each Kohls has different policies?
But to answer your queston I do love going there but I do find their housewares too expensive and it seems when the clothes are on sale you have to really dig and my 3 year old does NOT cooperate! I would probably enjoy it alot more if I could go with a friend and no child :)
OMG yes! Especially when I get a 30% off coupon (which I actually have one at this moment)! Between myself, my mom and my sister one of us usually ends up with a 30% off! I love when I get one and immediately tell my husband when he gets home and he's like 'Oh no ...' LOL I agree that their regular prices are a bit on the high side and sometimes it's not even a deal with their sale price but having the 30% off definately seals the deal! I also must add (and admit) that I have been known to go to more than one Kohl's with my 30% coupon because sometimes they have different items :)
I HATE Kohl's. I don't really know why but I have gone a few times and just don't like anything there. And lucky me, I got a $25 gift card for my bday in March and my daughter just got one too. UGH. So I think I will have to regift them for sure. Hope you have fun shopping tho! =)
I do. But I can never find I 6 y/o's size there! I think there must be a million 6 year olds where I live because I can never find her size! Whats REALLY cool though, is they have a kiosk that when you find something and they dont have the size you need, you can take the item, scan the tag, put in the size you NEED, buy it, and they will send it to your house for free! Thats cool!
its funny you say this because when I feel like I need a " better me" day kohls is the first place that pops in my head :)
Not a fan. We mostly shop at thrift stores. And since they have 2 days a week when it's 25% off, we do pretty well. We also stick to natural fiber clothing. So, when we shop new, we frequent local, non chain stores.
OMG I have serious Kohls problem - lol. I think the prices without coupons are way high - so I only shop when I have 30% off - and have gotten really great deals on kids clothes, housewares, etc. My latest score - one of those fancy bed toppers (our mattress is so bad - like 11 years old - lol) so I found a queen size topper/pad for $160 at Kohls - marked down to $70 - with 30% off and a $10 Kohls cash card - grand total - $35. :-)
I always put it on my charge but pay it off every month...
