I know it's probably not offered everywhere, but has anyone heard of or worked for West at Home (a division of West Corporation)? Just curious if you liked it, if you still work there, and how convenient it is to do this part time and stay at home with your kids who are not school age. Any other work at home options are welcome - preferably those that are not buy-in types. Just honest, work at home opportunities so I can be home with my kids. I want to work my job around my family and not my family around my job, but I can't afford to stay at home exclusively. Any ideas would be great, and any advice or feedback on West at Home is appreciated! Thanks, Moms!!
Thanks for the advice so far. I know West is not a scam. I live in Omaha where the company is based and it's well-known. I can't say everyone who works there loves it, but as some of you said, sometimes it works for certain people and sometimes it doesn't. I just wanted to know first-hand if anyone liked working for them. I have been in a professional job for 9 years since I graduated college, and the last 3 1/2 I have also been a mother. I enjoy work, but I enjoy my child more (and one on the way!), and since I can't afford to stay at home, then I was hoping to find something to better balance both worlds. Google "West at Home scam." It doesn't look like a legit option.
West at Home isn't a scam. My husband worked for them for a bit. You don't make much, but it is convenient and you do have to upsell a lot. LiveOps is another legit company. Unless West at Home changed or is offering something different - you're good!

i cant say i know much about that one, but look it up on the better business bureau before trying anything! unfortunately, you can look up just about any business out there and put "scam" after it in the search and come up with tons of pissed off people calling it a scam just because they couldnt make it work for them. I tried avon for a long time, it didnt really work for me. does that mean it is a scam? no. i just wasnt the right kind of person and didnt have the time to keep it rolling the way it needed to be to be generating a good income from it. i have done a butt ton of work at home stuff other than avon, too! lol. But it sounds like you understand that working from home is not the same as working outside of the home. you dont get hourly pay (without a degree and a company who just happens to allow that) and just about anything you will have to put in SOME sort of money to start making some money. But really, you have to do that with most jobs. you have to buy a uniform, office clothes, special non-slip shoes, etc. there is always something! if you want my list of things i have tried or not, feel free to PM, i can lay out the advantages and disadvantages of everything i have tried for you in case you are curious about any of them! lol. the most important thing is be SAFE. anything advertising "free" is likely a scam. anything that is advertising "make 1,000 the first week!" is a scam. Just make sure you look things up with the better business bureau to make sure its legit! best of luck to you!
