K..
A good way to go is to search out work at home jobs with large, well known companies. Uhaul & GE Finance have work at home jobs.
I saw a few links to some work from home websites where people seem to be making money posting things online, etc. Legit? I don't know...some of it seems too good to be true. Just curious if anyone has any experience with any programs like that. Thanks...

I work from home and it's totally legit, but I did lots of research on the company before taking the plunge. Check Better Business Bureau and google.
You already know the drill... if it sounds too good to be true then it is probably a scam
Never pay anyone to work for them, get training books, etc.
Once you submit info, you'll be bombarded with get rich quick schemes, direct sales and MLM'rs trying to recruit you to invest with the best, BLAH BLAH
Working from home is "Working from home". It is not hanging out at home, it requires discipline, childcare (no company wants to have a rep where you hear children playing or dogs barking in the background). It takes work to earn money.
I work from home, I am in my home office the majority of the day running numbers, keeping books, scheduling freight, booking air fare.... it is a job.
Think outside the box... what are YOU good at, what do YOU like to do? Go from there.
Sell your old stuff on Ebay or CL, babysit,
Good luck!
I have alwasy wanted to do one of these things, I see some that are even promoted on tv networks and stuff but I am to afraid to even try one, cus many still want you to pay something up front for training or shiping and handling of some or another, but then sometimes you can't make money with out spending a little money. Hopefuly you find the right one. If you do let me know. hehe
What are you looking to do? I work from home with a very flexible schedule. I own 4 franchises on the internet. Do your research before doing anything online though. Make sure the company is legit.
I too work from home. I would be leery of any company that made you pay for training. I do understand you have to spend money to make money but the company shouldn't ever charge you for training unless you are somehow profiting from the success of the company...IE: commission. Good luck with your search...I have been there...its rough
I am a recruiter. I work from home on contracts from clients and get paid per placement.
I also sell things on craigslist and ebay.
If you are going to work from home - you need to be focused and to have little kids around might not be conducive to working from home - it takes a lot - you are WORKING - that was the problem my husband and kids have - "but you are home!!" - yes, I may be at home but i am WORKING...
Get up and get dressed like you would going to work...not fancy or anything like that - but you know what I mean. Don't stay in your PJs - it's a totally different attitude!! :)
There are many legit work from home places....you just need to do your research and background checks...better business bureau, etc.
GOOD LUCK!!
I work from home and have a internet store but it is legit! :-) I earn $600 to $1400 a month! www.ismellsuccess.scentsy.us

Anything that promises you that you will make a lot probably isn't legit. I work from home and the only way anyone can earn money with any legit company is to work the business. I don't consider what I do work but I do have to be consistant. I love the products and the company and I get to work when and how much I want, take time off when I want but my favorite part is that I get to help others learn how to be healthier, look younger, loose weight, clear up their skin and how to do what I do. Samples are the key in my business once someone tries them and see's results they fall in love with the products just like I did then they want everyone they know to feel and look they way they do. If you are willing to spend 10 hours a week you can do what I do all from your home in your PJ's.
