I would like to take my son to a pumpkin patch in October. Does anyone know of a place where he can buy a pumpkin and they also offer hayrides?

What can I do next?

We just moved last September back to Asheville which is our home town from living in Charlotte 10 years.

We went to the Hendersonville annual Apple Festival and while we were there we picked up a brochure from "Grandad's Apples and Such." Not sure if you want to travel towards Hendersonville (about 2 hours from Charlotte) but it looks like a really neat place. I plan on taking my 16 month old when the pumpkin season arrives. They have a website www.grandadsapples.com If not there, check out some places in the Asheville area and you should find plenty to do for fall. Especially Hay rides. If you would like for me to help locating other places around here for a day trip let me know. I'll gladly help.

That is a great question C.. I am looking for one too. I did find one in York. But other than that, I am not sure of any other places. If you find another place I sure would love to know, even my hubby has never been to one and i would love to take him too. Good Luck C.

I'm sure there are places closer to you, probably, but out in York there is Windy Hill Apple Orchard that does hayrides and has a pumpkin patch, along with all sorts of other fun activities for children. My son loves in! I've taken him since before he could walk!

There is a place in Weddington. It is called "Hunter Farms",we have been going for several years now. They have lots of pumpkins to choose from and a great hayride. The hayride last about 40 mins and they take you down to the area where they have the farm animals. They let you pet the animals and feed them, one year they let us milk the cow.I have the phone number and address but I am new to this and not sure if I can post that info here. You can probably do a google search for them.Good luck!
