We have visited Riverbend twice and really enjoy it. A lot of local schools also do field trips to this place, http://www.awshuckscornmaze.com/.
We're located in the Matthews area and we want to go to a pumpkin patch Wednesday. Any suggestions would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance,
N.

We just went to the Riverbend Farm pumpkin patch yesterday and had a wonderful time. It's located about 20 minutes out of Charlotte down Albemarle Road. They're open 3:30-6pm on weekdays, it's $4 per person 2 and up, and you get a lot to see and do for the money. Also, they have a huge selection of reasonably priced pumpkins. Here is their web site:

not sure about Matthews area, but in the UNCC area there's one called Hodges Dairy - we go there each year. It's a blast!
We went to the Hunter Farm on Saturday and it was great. Pumpkins, hayrides, a petting zoo...what more could you ask for!?!
We went to a pumpkin farm out in Monroe, nothing really in Matthews, but this was really really fun for both us and the kids. Petting farm, corn maze, and pumpkins to pick from. Picnic area to eat in, lots of places to take cute pictures. Go to: http://www.awshuckscornmaze.com/
There are lots of outdoor pumpkins areas to pick a pumpkin from, but this was way better!

Hunters Farm on Providence (it might be Weddington Road at that point) is wonderful. It is past 485 on Providence/Weddington Rd. I've taken my kids the last 3 years and they love it.

Hunter Farms on Providence Rd in Weddington is great. We go there every year. They have hayrides, a petting zoo, dairy cows and pumpkins to take home. My kids love it!!
