Anyone Interesting in Creating a Local Playgroup?

I live in Flat Rock and just wanted to let you know that there is a play group in Flat Rock at the old high school off of Gibraltar Rd for your daughters age. It is really nice. There is an area set up with toys & books etc.. The teacher is Maggie and she does something different w/ the kids each week. They painted one week, wrote w/ chalk on black paper another week, etc.. They also have story time and a snack and get to play with different toys & interact w/ kids their age. Now that winter is coming it would be even better, they have an area in the Gym set up with tricycles and a playscape for the kids to climb on. You should call there the phone# is ###-###-#### and ask for Maggie or the parent toddler play group. By the way it's free. I used to take my son but I went back to work and cannot attend anymore.

Hi! Wow! Cool! Do you think you could make it out to the local libraries? They have certain days of "playgroups." In fact, today being Thursday the Dorsh has a group right now. I have an older girl...already 6 and in first grade. I hope this helps you out. I can remember the days before I put my Taylor in school at 3, as she really didnt talk until she was 2. She still has speech issues, as well as learning problems. I am 31 and want to meet other moms too...so if ya wanna chat e-mail me.

Hi J. I dunno if this will help or not. I live in Milan and the Milan area schools has a First Steps program which provides a play group Mon. through Thurs. Milan schools are open to anyone, so if this interests you at all let me know if it's not to far of a drive for you.
