It's time we took our 4 year old to the dentist and both my husband and I are dreading it. We just can't imagine someone can keep Jake in a chair for that long let alone check out his teeth. I drive from Milpitas to take my kids here. My kids actually look forward to going to the dentist. He only works with kids & teens - no adults. The chairs are kid-sized, the staff is great, the dentist is fantastic and the kids get a token to spend in one of several gumball-type machine filled with trinkets after their appointment.
Dr. Rabitz is wonderful. My then 3 yr old daughter was so anxious about going to the dentist, and she loved it. Everything about the office and staff is so kid friendly.
They managed to do a complete exam and x-rays on her with no drama and I was amazed and shocked. The office is in Willow Glen.

Dr. Barrera is WONDERFUL! We have taken my two little guys (5 & 2) and they are both actually excited to go to see him! Dr. Ligh is at Bascom and San Carlos, but our fantastic peditrician gave me the referal and I see why. It's a kid-friendly fantasty, with TVs in the ceiling, etc. (They run the same movie, like "Nemo", through all the TVs so the kids don't loose their place in the movie)

The staff is so friendly and nice, now my daughter (nearly 6) wants to ditch me in the lobby, and go back alone.
On a professional level, I have always been happy with the care and advice we have recieved. He had great educational materials.
We loved Dr. Ikehara. His office is on Hillsdale between Meridian and Ross I think. Kids love going to him.

Well I have a GREAT pediatric dentist who is amazing and VERY kid friendly!!! However, he is located on the border of San Jose/Saratoga - just about at the corner of Lawrence Expressway(Quito Road) and Saratoga Avenue (near Westgate Shopping Center). His name is Ralph Yoshida and he is in practice with his son Brian. Both are great, but my kids absloutely love Dr. Ralph. I drove across town to him becuase he was SO worth it. I HIGHLY recommend him!!!! My son has been going to him for about 10 years now, and my 4 year old recently started.

Try Dr. Phil and his son Dr. Greg Wolkstein on Blossom Hill. They are very experienced and have benn there for a long time.

I live in the Cambrian area as well. I take my 6 year who was not that fond of the dentist to Dr. Ligh's office he is located on Bascom just past San Carlos. His whole office is "Kid" friendly and they have toys, tv's and games. Above every chair is a TV the child puts on headphones and listens to a disney movie the best thing ever, they aren't even paying attention to the dentist. I was referred by my dentist. I have one, but he's in South San Jose. Highly worth the extra 5 or 10 minutes. I started seeing Doctor Taheri after one of my little guys had a traumatic experience with another dentist office. I was so amazed, and blessed by the love and care that they showed me and my little one. We've had to have 3 rounds of major dental work thus far, and my little guy is always happy and willing to go!
