Anyone Experience Labor like Symptoms After Getting Your Menstrual Period?

2wks ago, I started experiencing moderate back ache and some mild uterine contractions (similar to dull, constant, early back labor syptoms)? I just got my period 3wks ago. I started to spot 2wks after my period was gone, which I don't normally. Spotting is gone now (relief).

Is this a normal response of the body trying to come back to pre-pregnancy? What did you do to help relieve the symptoms:)? How long does it typically last?

Normal 7hr labor and delivery. Epidural. I stopped breastfeeding ~2months ago.
I am getting a pregnancy blood test (despite having my period 3wks ago).

Any feedback would be much appreciated! I have a much bigger appreciation and understanding EVERYONE of YOU mothers!

What can I do next?

With my 3rd pregnancy I had uterin contractions while I was pregnant, which was new to me. Now when I have my periods I get them every month and my daughter is 7 now. Pregnancy changes our body in many ways!

That happens to me all the time. I have had sometimex extreme back pain with my periods, since I was a teenager. I did not realize until I was in labor and having severe back labor that my period back pain was the same feeling. I also sometimes feel what seems to be long dull uterine contractions. Those come and go. The has been the norm for me since I started my period (I'm 28).

Ever since my third child was born, I have the same back labor pains with my periods that you describe. I have four kids, so this has not disappeared with having another kid. It has gotten better, but every month, I have ache in my lower back during my period. Sorry, I can't help, but you aren't the only one going through this!

I know our bodies go through a lot after having a baby and it's sometimes a while before our cycles are regular. After 4 children, I've noticed that my periods were very different after I had my babies. I would get cramping and heavier bleeding. If you are concerned, you may want to schedule an appt with your doctor if it persists.
