I have transistioned to a vegan diet back in Feb after a miscarriage and cancer scare. My family chooses to eat meat and dairy and respect my choice to eat a clean, healthy, and peacefull way of eating. The problem is I do not have a single friend or companion to swap recipies with. My family is open to eating tofurkey and mock cheese they never complain =). Im in The Cololny...

What can I do next?

A.,
I am not a vegan yet, but I am in the process of transitioning and I would love to swap recipes with you. All my friends and family think that I'm crazy for wanting to give up meat/meat products so it would be nice to have someone who understands my position. My direct email is ____@____.com

Hey!
I was raw vegan for a while but now am not. Try www.meetup.com. There are tons of groups on there you can join. Have you tried the Spiral Diner downtown? It is sooo good! Even my husband who was skeptical thought it was amazing.

Have you been to the veggie boards? They have a TON of yummy recipes, advice and etc.

BTW there was just a blurb on the news about kids who lead a vegetarian life have a lesser chance of getting cancer as adults!
