I have friends coming over to visit Dallas Texas. I just wanted to ask if you know some sort of a tourist spots/destinations nearby ? or activities that is enjoyable for someone who wants to see DALLAS.

I 2nd Babes but I would go to the Roanoke location. More country looking. If you go on Friday or Saturday night you'll be waiting forever if you don't go early... like 5 or 5:30.
All the ideas give have been great, but don't forget the JFK Museum and the Ft. Worth Stockyards, and Grapevine. You can ride the Tarantula Train from Grapevine to the Ft. Worth Stockyards.
I love Dallas...born and raised here. downtown is a graet place to walk around...the Fountain place, the Farmers Market, Thanksgiving Square, Mc Kinney Avenue for Wild About Harry's custard, this is where I always take friends or family that are visiting. Grapevine Mills is a good place to go for shopping...Fort Worth is a great place to go also...you could take them ont he train from Dallas to Fort Worth, a ton of fun!!
If they have kids, the Dallas Aquarium is a great place. Also the zoo, but I would suggest Ft. Worth zoo over Dallas zoo.
There are several things to do:

etc...

We had some relatives in over the weekend who had never been to texas (they loved the nonstop tornado warnings!) and we ended up at Babes in Carrollton for dinner one night-they loved it! A great place to get chicken fried steak or fried chicken-although I got the smoked chicken & it was excellent.
