I love Aveeno Positively Radiant cleanser and moisturizers. Not expensive, and available anywhere.
St. Ives products are really good too.
I like to use the St. Ives Apricot scrub about once per week.
Hey! Just wondering if y'all had any suggestions on good facial cleansers/products? As I am um...getting older....my youthful skin is leaving me so I am looking for something to use that will help fight aging/clear up blemishes. I am hoping that there is something out there that actually works and doesn't cost $45 a bottle. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I hear you! I have super-sensitive combination skin, plus a tendency toward Eczema. Yay me.
I'm in love with Boscia's Purifying Cleansing Gel. I've bought it at both Sephora and Ulta; you can also buy it online. For moisturizer, I LOVE Korres Yoghurt Cream.
And - this has been life-changing (and no, I'm not just throwing that term around) - Clairsonic. Have you seen these things? I bought one last October and my skin has never looked better, ever in my life. I bought it at Sephora, and the girls there told me that if I didn't love it, I could bring it back for a full refund. After using it for a few days, I'd have hurt anyone who tried to take it away from me. Seriously. My skin is now perfectly clean and exfoliated at all times. Love it! :)

I use Clinique and I have since I was about 11 yrs old. I just turned 50 and I pass for early/mid 30's.
I believe skincare is so important and it is more than just the products you use. I have a routine, drink lots of water and I was blessed with good genes.
I use the Repairwear Series line of Clinique, laser focus, uplifting eye cream and uplifting face/neck creme.
I do pay about $40 per container but if used correctly, it lasts a good 6 months so break that down and you are just over appx $6/month which is not bad at all plus you get a good product.
Clinique is often recommended by dermatologists as well. It is guaranteed and if you are not happy, you get youer money back. The representatives at the counter will give you samples to try. My favorite counter service is Neimans and Nordstrom but you can get good reps at Macy's and Dillards as well. Sephora also has good reps.
Good luck
I use Shaklee's Enfuselle. The products are truly anti-aging and patented. I get comments all the time about how much younger I look for my age.
When I first bought them, I took a close up picture and used them on just one side of my face to see if they really worked. I could count the number of wrinkles that were gone in just 3 days.
That was 15 years ago and I still look younger than I did in that picture and my skin is way better.
Let me know if you are interested.
And here is a hint to test a product that claims to have anti-oxidants and is anti-aging. Smear the product on a slice of apple. If the slice turns brown, the product won't work on your skin and is probably going to damage it. I have seen some of the most expensive products from the department stores turn apples black.
I use St. Ive's Apricot Scrub, refresh and renew ($3.99) I follow it up with Neutrogena anti-aging moisturizer ($17.99) Even if I don't look younger, I might think I do because I'm being proactive (but no I don't use ProActiv).
I got some Aveeno daily moisturizer and I really like it so far. It's got sunscreen and makes my face really soft. It's maybe $15 a jar, but has lasted awhile.
The trick that I've found works the best for me is to use 3 or 4 cleaners at the same time. I don't have a set rotation, I just make sure I never use the same one back-to-back. This way, my skin doesn't get "used" to just one kind and it's been working to keep my pimples away - I mean, really...I never thought I'd have to worry about acne at 30! lol
As for products....I just recently started using a vitamin E cream. My mom's been using it for years now and her skin looks pretty damn good - especially considering she's been a smoker for over 30 years and is a total sun-worshiper. I only use it at night (otherwise my skin gets too greasy) and only where I need it (around the eyes and on the cheeks).
I use Arbonne products. I fell in love with them when I tried them and I had used a ton of products before that. They are clinically tested and proven to work. I love the Preferred Client discount they offer...20% off of everything you purchase for one year. I just used the products at first and then all my friends bought the products as well....decided to make a business out of it. Check them out. Let me know if I can help explain the discounts available.
