I scared myself looking in the mirror this morning...my skin is getting so wrinkled and blotchy (especially under the eyes), and under the skin acne. I have a very tight budget, and very sensitive skin. I started using L’Oreal, Garnier products (which do not work) Vitamin E Swiss collagen cream-works well on hands, not on face. Olay products break out my skin. I do not use alot of makeup-just foundation, eye liner, and mascara. I eat a healthy diet-not balanced, exercise and drink nothing but water.
Can’t blame the kids, they are grown and moved out, but I think it is the stress of working two jobs and working outside all the time starting to catch up to me...and sleep-what's that?
I would recommend going to an esthetician. You can get a good price by going to the beauty college. My good friend is in school for this right now and gave me a great price on a facial a few weeks ago. I have actually never had a facial done before but I was amazed at how great my skin looked immediately afterward, and it actually has been much better overall the last 2 weeks. She did a clay masque and it helped a lot with the under-skin acne. My skin is softer and clearer now, and I intend to go back as often as I can afford.

I love the MaryKay Time Wise collection too... I do not have wrinkles, but have uneven skin and still dealing with acne (hence why my skin looks young still and no wrinkles). The Time Wise collection really seems to make my skin more even toned and healthier. I ran out of it two months ago and have not reordered yet, I can tell that I am not using it.
I also like at home face peels/masks, buy the bottle at the store (whatever I fancy that time around) and it last for a 2-3 months if I use it once a week.. I like the cucumber ones, and deep cleaning ones that I can peel off.

Enfuselle by Shaklee. There are 8 patents on the line and you can see the difference--wrinkles disappearing and blotches going away in days, not months.

Neutrogena make a facewash & moisturizer that are actually called Anti-Wrinkle, Anti-Blemish which I thought was a miracle when I found them. It also made me feel way better that I'm not alone!! I can't get them at the local drug store anymore, but they do carry them on drugstore.com & occassionally I'll get emails for free shipping so I stock up then.
I switched to mineral powder foundation a couple of years ago. You do not need to buy the crazy expensive stuff, though that's how I started out. Now I switch back & forth between expensive & regular drug store (Maybelline, Revlon, etc.) brands & sometimes even mix them. They don't lay in any creases & I'm not all oily at the end of the day. It's light enough not to feel like I have a ton of make-up on, but does the job to even out the skin tone without breaking me out. Yes, I still do have breakouts during my PMS time every month, but not as bad as they used to be.

I have started MaryKay Time Wise also. But before I switched to a more adult skin care from Proactive, I tried to start with the most balanced skin. I did an aspirin facial scrub ( reduces swelling, redness and tightens); take 6-8 aspirin and crush the up and add about 4 drops of lemon juice or until you get a paste apply to face in a circular motion, once it is dry on your face and starts to crumble off, rinse off with warm water and follow up with (i know it is stinky) Apple Cider vinegar as a cleanser, which restores the PH balance in your skin. At any time I get a pimple I dab with the vinegar to dry it out fast. Google this it worked awesome for me. And very inexpensive.

I use the St Ives scrub once or twice a week.
I LOVE Clinique products. I've used them since I was about 11 and my 16 yr old daughter uses the line as well.
Right now, I use the Repairwear series laser focus serum, eye cream, night and day creme. Each of the products are about $48 per container HOWEVER, they will last you a good 6 months or more. Clinique stands behind their line as well.
Clinique sunscreen and lots of water.
Good luck!

St. Ives exfolating scrubs 2 to 3 times a week (the store brands work just as well). I also wear a powder sunscreen every day ( I have Bare Mineral's brand but there are many out there). It has a slight hint of color so I don't wear a foundation and it doesn't get greasy on my oily skin like the lotions do. I keep it in my purse so I can reapply at anytime. Other than that, I wear a little eye shadow, and mascara and lipstick on a rare occassion. I think that not wearing lots of makeup has helped my skin over ther years as well.

I use an oil-free facial moisturizer that has an SPF of 15 daily without fail.
I love mineral loose powder foundation. It can take some figuring out how to apply it just right but I love it because it's fast and I feel like I have nothing on! I use the one Loreal makes because it's half as expensive as Bare Minerals and still does a nice job. There are days that I just look so run down but don't have time for a full "workup" so I just slap a bit of my foundation on, blush, and mascara and I'm looking refreshed in less than 5 minutes!
I don't have particularly sensitive skin so I do love me some Olay product. I have been using their face lotion for years and have recently moved on to their regenerist line (just the face wash). I will however get the store brand whenever it's available.
Hope this helps :o)

You might start by getting the book "The One-Minute Cure" Google it. It is a book on how using FOOD GRADE hydrogen peroxide can help lots of issues in your system that seem to be unexplained. There is also a group of chiropractor/clinical nutritionists in Grosse Pointe at The Alternative Healthcare Center ( www.ahccenter.com ) Their forte is dealing with your whole body system and finding what foods you should or shouldn't eat...filling in with whole food supplements to get YOUR system back on track. It is not covered by insurance but all things considered it is not that expensive. If going there is not an option for you, you might start with NO SUGAR including all the processed foods with the "oses" in them, NO POP diet included, NO GLUTEN, only fresh vegetables and plenty of water.

I did much research and made a bar of soap that does a chemical peel, bleached out the uneven spots, and toned softened the skin naturally. My face has a youthful glow to it and is even so now I can wear a foundation and not have to mix two shades to get one. After washing my face I have a body cream that I put on to moisturize and that is it.
The other S.
PS Plus I try to drink a lot of water and get a good 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night and bit of exercise by doing yard work or walking.

I can only comment on the one product that has worked for so many of my friends and myself...arbonne eye cream...works wonders!! As for the rest of your face, easy does it. Olay will make you break out as it is "oil of olay", key word oil (learned that the hard way). I use all arbonne and it works for me (after years of mixing and matching i finally tried an online/catalogue product!). I have crazy skin, oily/dry, and sensitive, and their products seem to work for me.
Best of luck to you!

If you have insurance that covers retin a or retin a micro ( you can also get generics) - this is great for wrinkles and acne. You don't have to use it every day - but a few times a week lately. I think my insurance covers the generic for $10.

i recently started using a hyaluronic acid serum under my moisturizer which helps. i've also been using DHC products for the last few years, and love them (although i do not love their price tag.) they're based on pure olive products and really make a difference.
but i'm over 50, live outside and am a sun-worshipper. so i don't expect miracles<G>.

I get rest when I can and shock my face. I steam it then throw an icy cold wash cloth on my face.
I use mineral foundation (they do have more affordable versions) and shea butter moisturizer on my face. I also use wet and wild mascara, softlips lip balm or natural lip balm, and I have a double sided stick of eyeliner on side and eyeshadow on the other.
I'm a mom of a two year old and I only make minimum wage.

My mirror scares me when I haven't gotten enough sleep, too. And getting enough sleep is easier said than done. So far, no beauty product camoflages those dark circles under my eyes or the way my whole face seems to droop when I'm tired. Bleh!
I'm pretty low maintenance so all I use is a mild soap to wash my face, Neutrogena face cream and L'Oreal eye make up. I don't even bother with foundation, I just use concealer on my sunspots and blend it in. This looks fine in my bathroom mirror but now I'm wondering if it looks bizarre when I get outside in the sunlight!
a good wash cloth and mild soap Oil of Olay at night and in the morning on my forehead- to keep the grand canyon of wrinkles at bay. concealer, face powder, mascara, lip gloss. I

I used the Mary Kay timewise collection and really like it and can see a noticible difference when I don't use it.
You may also want to look into skin lightening creams for the blotchiness - think clinique's new product (turn around cream or time eraser).
I also have heard the praises of ROC for aging skin and they recently came out with a new formula for sensitive skin. You can find them at the drugstore!
Best of luck.
Oh to look my best, I sleep, work out, drink a lot of water and be sure to hydrate and wear sunscreen of spf 25 or more EVERY DAY( the sunscreen is a new development for me!)
