I know alot of you moms out there have done this so looking for a few ideas. We just found out that we are pregnant with our 4th (and probably last) child. I would like to make a baby themed dinner in a few weeks to tell my in llaws, but am having a hard time coming up with ideas of things to do. Especially dessert. What have you moms out there done? Thanks!
That is a great idea :o) You could do baby back ribs, with baby carrots, baby potatoes... Dessert is a hard one... Maybe baby ice -cream cones?
If you are going to tell them soon, I would time it with Thanksgiving dinner. Have the baby carrots, potatoes, mini rolls, etc. For dessert you could server mini cinnabuns.
At Thanksgiving dinner we always go around the table and say what we are thankful for. You could tie it in there. Or we play the Thankful ABCs where you go around and what you are thankful for starts with whatever letter of the alphabet you got. A - I'm thankful for amazing family, B - I'm thankful for the baby in my belly!
Congratulations! I know I saw this idea on someone else's question. For dessert, you can buy white cake mix, and add blue food coloring to half and pink to the other half. then ice it however you want, and when you pass it out everyone will have pink or blue cake, boy or girl. I thought it was a cute idea. or if you already know what you are having, then make an all blue or all pink inside cake. good luck and have fun with this dinner.
I saw mini baby pies in the bakery section at Walmart last week. So cute! About 3-5" in diameter and 3 or 4 different flavors. Never had one, so not sure about taste, but definitely adorabel
I would say do mini items or "baby" items for the theme. For dessert you could do cheesecake bites or baby cheesecakes!! You could have mini tacos, baby carrots etc. Just an idea!!
